Quantic Dream's next project to be unveiled tonight

I know a lot of people hated Heavy Rain, but i loved everything about it. I even conveniently fell ill for 2 days when it came out and had to take 2 days off of school. It was amazing

Can't wait to see what Cage and the team have been working on :)

I wonder what they'll come up with. Imho have Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain some very deep design flaws that are difficult to remove

Can't wait to see what they've been working on. Own all 3 of their games and I'm sure I'll pick up their next game.

hopefully omikron 2. it got put on hold to do heavy rain for sony.

Does QD own the rights to Omikron? I've wanted a Omikron 2 since this gen began =/

"You'll be able to see the demo here at Eurogamer from 10.30pm GMT, and we'll bring you exclusive insight from Cage. Take our word for it - it's well worth tuning in. "

So most likely this is what Eurogamer was tweeting about last week.

Awesome, Quantic Dream is my third favorite Sony-Exclusive developer!!

Edit: What time is this EST?

I wonder if they'll bring back the
necrophilia
in this one.

It was in Indigo Prophecy, but they totally skimped on it in Heavy Rain.

Looking forward to it, hope they got better English VO this time.

Seriously. I loved Heavy Rain, but Quantic still needs American localization if they're going to have American characters.

I'd prefer Quantic design their games with european characters. Then the accents wouldn't seem so odd.

Throw me into the Heavy Rain love-fest. Game was ambitious and flawed, but I'll take a weird/flawed game that tries something different over the same overly-polished shooters that get released year after year.

SO this is at 10:30 GMT, which makes for:

5:30 EST (?)

Which means this event is around six and a half hours away(?).

I do wish they would've at least come up with some explanation for why Ethan woke up in the middle of the street with an origami figure in his hand :p

I think that was my only problem with the entire story. :/

Heavy Rain is it's own genre which imo is choose your adventure book in an interactive cinematic experience. it's nothing like any other gaming genre in the market, the closest you'll get is point and click adventure because Norman Jayden scene have a bit of investigation scene where you look for clues but it's very simple and straight forward because the puzzle is not the focus of the game. on the other hand, point and click adventure games don't have Heavy Rain's branching path and alternative consequence based on your action.

for what David Cage is trying to achieve, then Heavy Rain formula works brilliantly, there's no deep design flaws in it. just failure to have better script, voice acting and plot.

if you want to make Heavy Rain game more 'gamey', then it's pretty easy, simply make it as a full blown adventure games where you have to look for clues and solve puzzles. their interface actually really suited for a modern puzzle adventure games, but that's not the kind of games David Cage is interested to make it seems.

Heavy Rain was awesome. Even my casual non-gamer friends enjoyed it.

There wasn't much hate, actually. A few obnoxious people can make it seem like the whole world hates it.

let's shake some orange juice and do this!

I show the beginning of heavy rain to anyone who's not aware of what else video games can show besides violence/fantasy. cannot wait to see what this next venture looks like

I think that was my only problem with the entire story. :/

I tend to think it was a case of the class 'red herring' paired with some form of dissassociative amnesia/disorder. Mainly, I think it was in there to take the story in an intended direction.

I'm looking forward to what they do next, hope it's interesting and unique. I had some issues with Heavy Rain, but overall, really enjoyed it. Most of my issues were technical/performance-based. With better actors and dialogue/execution, it could have been superb. I'd love to see Heavy Rain on PC still, how great it would look...

His statements about MotionSense do make sense to me, and I'm glad that he is consciously aware of the aesthetics. LA Noire has some incredibly impressive tech, but I am someone more into the aesthetics of a visual style. I hope they have taken measures, and are able to improve their tech though.

Can't wait, I truly loved Heavy Rain.
Hopefully the tech demo is related to their actual game so that we can understand what it is about.

Heavy Rain was my GOTY that year. HYPED. For all the shit the story gets I love that kind of gameplay. It felt like a different kind of point and click adventure and was able to be cinematic without forcing shooting galleries on you. Breath of fresh air along with Indigo Prophecy, can't wait to see what they do next.

Heavy Snow
Heavy Sleet
Heavy Hail
Heavier Rain
Heaviest Rain
It's Great Out

Curious which they go with.

Light Sun

Heavy Rain was a superb game and whats with the hate ? It also sold well over 2.5m copies. So pumped for QD's next game

it got lots of hate??? I could have sworn it got universal praise!
It did get praise. But Gaf is mostly where ppl assume everyone hates this game. Didn't stop it from selling a million at launch. Cage remains unbothered and making great games that I love to play.

I liked heavy rain in almost all areas but the voice acting. If they can improve on that I think their next game will be a lot more believable. The FBI agent in particular was terrible.

Blake Cahhhhta.

I really want it to be an Omikron sequel, but most likely it will be something completely new following their philosophy on making games.

Tonight can't come soon enough!

.
Heavy Rain was a pretty cool game. It was an old classic adventure game at it's heart (King's Quest, Monkey Island). Story line wasn't as appealing as I thought it was going to be, but it was better than the most. Really looking forward to this surprise.

Nope. As odd it may seem it felt great to me with the Move. Hopefully their new project has more Move stuff.
I played it with a normal controller, but I still loved that scene (the
mansion shootout
). It's brilliant from a story standpoint, since it's such an about-face for that character; it has you thinking, "Wow, I didn't know he was so deadly." It's chilling. And then you learn, well... you know.

I loved Heavy Rain, and the story had me riveted to the edge of my seat. Can't wait to see what Quantic Dream unveils tonight, though I hope we see a GAME and not just a tech demo. Gimme something to HYPE, boys.

THANKS.

My buddies and I do impressions of his voice online all the time. "Hi, I'm looking for Lietenant Carter Blake. have you seen him? Where is his squirley ass hiding?"

I'm incredibly hyped to see this. Most likely will be Infraworld, though I'm curious to see if he unveils both games he is working on. Heavy Rain has been the only game this generation that I sat through and finished in one play through, from about 10am to 7pm. Excite!

I'm not above frequently quoting his hilariously-delivered "JEE - I hate internal politics bullshit!" To this day I still can't tell if that line was intended to be tongue-in-cheek or not.
