Quantum Break announced (Remedy's Xbox One exclusive)

This was the only remotely interesting thing at the conference. I want to know more about the mix between live actors and in-game scenes.

No Alan Wake 2? I am sad. :'( Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Quantum Break will be bad. It is just that I really liked the AW franchise and unless Remedy is a two-team studio I don't we will be getting another game for quite a while, if ever.

I think Remedy is a rather small studio and they only release a game every few years...

From their website:
Remedy is currently working on an unannounced future generation AAA project as well as an unannounced iOS project.

Alan Wake is dead.

Will Buy since its XBOX exclusive and a Fucking REMEDY game.

What?! I want them to go banana's on the live action stuff. Everything they did in Alan Wake was campy and great.

I like their live action scenes as well, but the whole "merging a TV show and gaming together" concept can go sideways quickly if they rely on too much "TV show."

Then again, they could just be describing the way the game's chapters are constructed, not actually watching hours of a TV show, so we'll see. Vague reveal.

We didn't see a lot. But as others have said it's Remedy so it will at least be interesting.

Also I wouldn't expect to see this on PC for a long time if ever. I imagine for the first few years of it's life MS is going to be ruthless in making sure it's new I.P stays on the Xbox One.

Could be interesting, though obviously Alan Wake 2 would have been more enticing.

It was actually some of the only gameplay we saw in the whole thing.

That's not game play. I haven't played a game from that camera angle before, and I doubt that will be starting now. Same thing with EA's footage - all from dynamic camera angles that resembled replays not actual game play. When the camera is zoomed out you'll probably have a hard time telling the difference between 360 and One Madden.

That was Ikka in the beginning, wasn't it? The bridge makes me think of when we're getting into Bright Falls as well...

Anyway, I hope it comes out on PC as well, really want a new Remedy game, even though it's not Alan Wake, but I really don't want the new Xbox so far.

I'm glad its something new and not Alan Wake 2. There was only one section of the first game that I thought was fun, but everything else including the story was lame to me.

What we know of the story is clichéd, I don't see the point of the live action sequence at all, and there was no gameplay shown.

Hard to get excited.

Im guessing this is gonna be on PC too? I mean, Xbox gamers didnt buy Alan Wake so it would be foolish not to.

the only good thing there, also good thing Remedy is making a new IP, because Alan Wake was just a nonsense mess storywise...

Oh wow. Whenever I thought I'd go PS4 this fall, the one thought telling me to wait was Alan Wake 2. Microsoft, you have made this so easy.

I hope they don't expect people to purchase the game episodically through $15 chunks.

Ideally it should be $60 up front and then unlock over time like Spartan Ops.

I'll await more details before passing judgement... otherwise a nice surprise.

Will this also have a TV show like Defiance? Why is it using FMV in between gameplay?

Or was the mommy and girl scenes CG? Mind blown if so.

A little disappointed this wasn't Alan Wake 2, but Remedy hasn't disappointed me yet.

Still hard to get excited for a CG/Live Action trailer though.
