by Mad Catz and it's recently had some problems. He called Mad Catz but they said that it was no longer under warranty so they couldn't do anything. He asked if he could just buy the replacement part for it but they said they do not. Thus he's had to search for it online, unfortunately he has no idea where to look.

So anyone with experience with building sticks know where he could get some parts? The Mad Catz folks said that his problem was with the PCB board that's under the stick so that's the part he needs, the PCB board. Everything else seems to work fine, just not that one.

Can anyone help?

Why not use one of Toodles custom PCB's from Focusattack.com, Lizardlick.com or Akihabarashop.com?

How does he know it's the PCB?

For all you know it could be the USB cable that's been overstretched or something. Either way your gonna have to do some work to fix it, involving soldering cutting wires etc. + money.

Friend described the problem to the guys when he called Mad Catz and they suspected it was the PCB as all the buttons work for it and the like. It's only the stick movement that's a problem.

I'd inspect it myself but uh, I have one problem, the Pacific Ocean.

Here's a video, the important part here is not to be afraid of monkeying around inside the stick. With the custom PCB's it's easier than ever to get a custom stick up and running.
