Wow that sucks, I was just telling my friend about some of the old school comic artists and used Joe Kubert as a prime example of one of the greats.

One of the most talented cartoonists ever. And to even further solidify his legacy, he taught hundreds of other artists, many of which are now stars in the industry.

Oh God, I've always loved his style. Andy and Adam honor him well. I hope he enjoyed his life as much as I enjoyed his work. Resquiat in pacem, sir.

RIP Joe.

A legend.

RIP

I've been reading the DC Comics: Sixty Years of the World's Favorite Comic Book Heroes book, and Joe Kubert and his art is mentioned a lot in it. I really like his style.

Rest in peace Mr. Kubert. :(

Tragic. A huge legend in the comics field. RIP

I had plans to go to his school for much of high school but we were too poor financially and my art was too poor artistically.

I remember reading just a few weeks or so ago that he and his son were working on a book together. Was it one of the Watchmen books?
'Before Watchmen: Nite Owl'; he was inking over his son Andy's pencils. Joe also had a six-issue anthology series coming in October from DC, featuring new material from him and other industry legends.

One of the great comic book legends. His legacy through his work, his two super-talented sons, and everything from his school will live on. RIP Joe Kubert.

Always appreciate the greats while they're still around and continue to enjoy the budding future greats while they're still developing.
