Maybe they'll make it look like a GBC game like the mobile games.

Isn't RO2 3D? Maybe they'll take that route, but I doubt it.

I doubt it's a screenshot because the archer has priest skills in the skillbar and the mini map is way off :lol

I would assume they would at least release a proper picture of it. Then again you never know :lol

I wonder if RODS could gain a decent fanbase. Everyone seems to be too addicted to WoW to care about any other MMORPG.

Man, RO on DS. Think of all the possibilities! I can explore the world, try to find rare items/cards while at work or on the train/bus and as soon as I get home, play with my friends!

I'm guessing that you'll only be able to team up with 3 people at a time though, like PSO (Which is cool though..) I mean, hah, even on PC this mmorpg almost crashes when in Prontera (or whatever the city was called).

Well RO's lifetime is almost up, with RO2 coming and all, so maybe there's no more need for patches?

They are still patching and adding new things in RO :lol

Even if this game does exist...how the hell are players going to interact? There's no keyboard and using the stylus with an on screen keyboard would be hell during WoE and MVP runs.

It's a proper game. Sounds like Marble Madness or something. You move a ball around with the touchpen.

i bet you guys its going to be some crappy offline spinoff like the cell phone games.

even if they shrunk the sprites to still look good, somehow rendered all the 3D thats in the game, and figure out a control method that didnt stink. you STILL have nintendo and their freind codes, and last time i checked MMORPG's still have plenty of Pedos.

- Based on the PC MMORPG
- Using the Nintendo Wifi Connection
- Wifi to be used for Offline Promotions (downloadables)
- 2.5 Million Ragnarok Online accounts in Japan. So the DS version can sell over 100k in Japan.
- Other DS games.. AquazonDS, Flower Arrangement DS
- Game Studios of GungHo like GameArts, Takara and Brocoli will develop Console titles.
- There are PSP titles in Work currently

Kanno has done some great work, indeed, but the last place I want her is NEAR MY RAGNAROK! I've listened to the ROII OST and for me, it has been a complete and utter disappointment. She ruined ragnarok... she ruined it.

Wow, I'm pretty surprised and impressed that companies are pushing for MMOs on the DS.

RO is pretty good, I used to play it with my cousins a while back. I just hope they reduce the grinding a fair bit because it just doesn't suit the DS to play massive amounts at a time. But this is a Korean MMO we're talking about...

I'm not sure it's saying that exactly, I think the paragraph about it says what it can be used for or what things the game can do rather than saying it will only do this.

That said, I don't think it'll be a real MMO. I think there will be an online lobby system and a quest system you can play multiplayer like PSO, but I figure it'll be drop-in/drop-out or it'll be something more casual. The idea of a MMO on a portable, it's absolutely possible but the player drop rate would just be a mess. From what I read of the GameWatch page, it sounded like it was going to be something other than an MMO, but there was very little info on it so maybe I just read into it as that.

(Also, it's not actually listed as Ragnarok Online DS, is it? I can't read the underneath subtitle, but usually they write out "Online" in English even in the JP/KR versions.)
