Ohh, you meant the floor. Yeah that's not really possible.

He means that at the angle the 'viewer' sees it, no way that you'd see the reflection in that manner as if it's water in the distance.

He's looking straight into the window frame and how the fuck can the reflection be like that ?

whut?

Back in high school I did some modeling. I didn't think much of it because it was for Seventeen. When it came out I bought a copy to show off but when I found the picture my head had been replaced by another. :(

If I find the box I have it in I'll scan it.

with the batman one, his eyes are right where the two panes of glass meet and there is the solid black frame. why is he standing in front of the frame, and not in front of an actual pane of glass? we will never know...

and the reflections of the floor would only be possible if the buildings in the distance were higher than the room batman is in (which they arent) or if the floor was inclined so that batman was at the lower end of the room (which wouldnt happen)

now someone explain the first EA one with the basketball players to me

Wait...isn't that what one would realistically expect to see if the camera were actually at that angle IRL?

Are you talking about the fifa shot or still the batman one ? Fifa one there is a player behind Rooney in the screen from the exactly same angel as the shot is taken where the isn't any player behind him.

The non-existent horizon / reflection is just one big singular image of clouds divided by a thin line with silhouettes shopped in it? :lol

Please stop ruining this thread.

An update from BoingBoing:
On Thursday, Polo Ralph Lauren released the following statement about the retouched ad: "

For over 42 years we have built a brand based on quality and integrity. After further investigation, we have learned that we are responsible for the poor imaging and retouching that resulted in a very distorted image of a woman's body. We have addressed the problem and going forward will take every precaution to ensure that the caliber of our artwork represents our brand appropriately."

Alas, no apology for the legal nastygrams.

And yet, despite the least-apologetic apology ever, they're still at it:

To add further insult, Ralph Lauren fired Filippa Hamilton the original photoshoped model today. They called her beautiful and healthy looking but she didn't meet the obligations of her contract. At 5'10 and 120 pounds, she's too big for their clothes.
