In the last podcast you guys talked about 'game modes'... is more than the Single Player Mode then?

MP is a certainty imo.

Hopefully there's co-op with that old Lombax shown in the teaser.
 
I still think it's hilarious that, according to one of the lead designers, the "internal" name for the game is Ratchet & Clank: Clockblockers.

That would be totally awesome, but im happy just with more replayability even if it is SP.

Maybe we'll see 8 player Ratchet and Clank Co-op? 4 Lobax players, 4 other characters (clank-esque?).

I'd be excited for it, anyway.

"Game modes" doesn't really imply anything.

When you're making a large single-player game with a lot of variety, some parts of the game that are different from Ratchet's core gameplay can feel like their own "modes".

So don't take that as any sort of confirmation of MP.

I don't think that every game needs to have multiplayer, but I really want them to bring it back for Ratchet and Clank because of how much fun it was in Up Your Arsenal.

ppl didn't think uncharted 2 would have multiplayer and look how that turned out!

(Normally in SP, you'd have to go back and forth in time to achieve the same result)

Nice upgrade graphically, characters actually cast shadows on themselves for the first time, lighting seems to have been improved, it's good to see and it's about time.

They've done that before, haven't they? I think it was actually online pn the PS2, but it might have just been offline deathmatches with more than one player and some bots. I remember playing it. It wasn't very good.
 
I really hope that there's coop, but Alister could be just a side kick, like Talwin in Quest 4 Booty, she fallowed you pretty much everywhere and was shooting stuff just like in this video. Coop would be fucking rad, those games are extremely easy anyway, it's not like it would break everything to include coop.

I'm not sure, but it seems like they kept the water tech from R2, when Ratchet walks in the small brook, there seems to be some nice ripples :D Kittonwy should be happy with the self shadowing too. I also love the colors and vegetation, it's like R2 but with nice art :lol
 
Meh, teh YELLOW from R2 is back. It's TOO yellow imo. Other than that it looks great and I guess it will be a great game. Those boots look like fun. Will buy.

It will happen, we both know. Kittowny is probably just pissed because Ratchets fur is much more smooth than the fur from his kittens.

They didn't release a separate trailer sadly.
Goddam that looks nice. Their engine lends itself so much better to this art style. I can't wait. Ratchet on the greatest hits line should help interest for this one.

gotta say. I didn't love R+C ps3 (and QFB) but I enjoyed them. Always thought highly of insomniac.

But I just played R2 and will return it (and well, I hope they can polish this new motherfucka up real good) because R2 ain't very good.

I'm no longer excited for insomniac games? ..... ouch
 
Fire and smoke effects look really good, and so do enemies and shadows. At least that stage seems really big, and I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy those new boots like a kid. I loved R&C:ToD and Quest for Booty (I even bought it twice, both the US version via PSN and the european bluray disc) and I'm so looking forward to this new one.
Can't wait to see more. I'll pray for a demo before release :D

the video is in 30fps to begin with, so even if the game is running at 60fps, we wouldn't know.
