Oh cmon, it`s lookin pretty good right now. I`ve edited the heck out of it to please you hard-to-please mofos. I should slap myself for spending this much time on a damn forum topic. lol

You set a pretty high bar. Not everybody can spend that much time on official threads.

@Steve: It's pretty good as it is now. Just stay on top of the new reviews and you'd at least make me happy. ;)

Haven't played it yet but is it too early to call it PS3 GOTY???

I'll bet it reviews better than Uncharted.

I'm positive Uncharted will meet the same fate as HS.....not a bad one, but a ridiculous one.

I agree. It`s a game built upon a proven formula, Uncharted is brand new, it`ll have things that need tweaking in further sequels. Tools of Destruction should be damn near perfection.

I`ll have a better idea of just how close to perfect it is by tonight when I`m playing that sweet, sweet demo. :D

I dont think it will, theyll both score highly...but it seems uncharted is REALLy coming together

OP's looking good though. Some great pics there, that dinosaur is driving me to incoherence. I can feel a random chain of letters welling up inside me. I'll resist though and simply reiterate the fact that it looks like a Pixar movie.

Hate to continue the Uncharted derailing but I doubt it's going to pull an HS (which I still enjoyed a lot). Ninja Theory were an untested group of devs while ND are an experienced team with a proven track record, like Insomniac. The PS3 GOTY competition is going to be fierce. :D
 
I received the review version and it is FANTASTIC! It's a great game, in every new bit I'm amazed what kind of wonderful gameplay unfolds next.

I haven't had one single bad bit yet. The story is great, the graphics are amazing, the gameplay is perfect in every aspect.

Weapons and enemies are very fun and creative.

I don't know what I can say about it anymore. :P I barely can stop playing it.

Unfortunately (for me) I don't have much good to say in Sony threads this generation, but this game looks sex. R&C was my favorite new franchise last gen. Have fun with this one, guys, cuz I won't be for a long time. :(
 
I'm at work, so I just called home and got my wife to begin the download of the demo so that by the time I get home, I can get right down to playing it. :D

And in case anyone missed them, here are the new gameplay tidbits I added to the OP. All of this is taken from the PSMUK review

- New weapon called the "Reaper Shotgun."
-A weapon called the "Death Springs"- springs which bounce around the screen until they attach themselves to an enemy and subsequently detonate.
-Confirmation of a weapon called the "Electric Ravager".
-Skill points unlock cheats.
-Gold bolts apparently unlock new skins
-new characters that are introduced are "a cut above past casts,"
-Arena battles
-Groovitron ammo can only be bought at vendors, not found in crates.
-Raritanium is used to unlock weapon upgrades and it can be "found in abundance in the game world."
-Clank has new abilities, such as levitation and the ability to slow down time and the power to rebuild objects.
-A new planet called Murkov has a funfair of death
-In one level called Planet Kortog you can roam the entire level using the robowings at your leisure

It's a newer build of the game, not sure about content. It's the first level if that helps.

Okay, Ratchet and Clank is absolutely incredible. The cutscenes use the same models as the gameplay, and the animation is out of this world. It seriously looks like a CG movie almost. The cinematic direction is stunning as well. It really puts any game like this to shame. I hope the rest of the game is just as cinematic and awesome as this demo.

The game looks absolutely amazing and I've seen tons of footage online. Nothing compares to actually playing it on screen for yourself.

It runs at 60 fps and has AA so the image quality is absolutely impeccable.

For those that played the previous demo, grab this off the store. It's improved a ton, apparently. I can't notice any graphical flaws. This game is absolutely gorgeous. Seriously, Insomniac delivered...AGAIN

Can't fucking wait until this game comes out. And I'm a Ratchet virgin, too.
