I downloaded the demo the other day.......Played it for 5 minutes, paused it, went upstairs and fired up the PC to pre-order it.

I don't know what magic dust you guys have, but its the first game that looks like its making the PS3 sing in tune.

Bring on Resistance 2.
 
Heh, that one dude (the one with the hair that looks like a hat from some angles) just kept messing up, didn't he? First he called Resistance a WWII shooter, and then he *just* avoided giving Insomniac credit for Jak.
 
That was funny when he made a remark about the ring-flying reminding him of Jak and Daxter, and the guy said "Okay..."

Btw I've noticed that the game seems darker in every level outside the demo's level.

Implementing vehicles sounds like it could be tricky though, at least in MP. For it to be worthwhile, they would have to be interesting. The token jeeps and tanks, meh. Insomniac can do (and has done) better than that. But then once you implement something exotic, balance becomes a bugger. See the recent UT3 beta for an example of an incredibly awesome but horribly unbalanced vehicle/war machine of doom.
 
Omg. First Jaffe, now they're going to cause Jstevenson to go incognito on us which would be quite the task given his position. Well they put him in good light and they seem to have the facts straight and aren't slinging insults.

Yuh it seems to be all harmless and end by saying how down to earth insomniac are. I think it's good

Well from what I read, I thought their intention wasn't to overblow the problem, and they really wanted to keep it in check. I mean if they really wanted to blow it out of proportion they would have said "Ratchet and Clank broken on HDTV's" and would go on to say "not HD, PS3 can't handle 720p" or something like that.

I think it does quite well to keep it small, and talk about the right things, with the right amount of speculation.

Remember neogaf and Beyond3d aren't some small forums...they are pretty big, well known and graced by those in the industry. SO I think blogs have quite a good reason to source from them. IGN sourcing from PS3forums about TeamICO was classic though...but I think that's very different.

Is that pixel problem at the bottom of some of the screen shots with HDMI only? I don't seem to have that issue with component video at 1080i.

Just played the demo again and it rocks. The first time I played I didn't even notice the game switched to ingame when the cutscene was over. I was just standing there :-)
Can't wait for release!
