Erm but i have my ps3 set to english and never had this problem with any other demo. The cutscenes work on my pal ps3, im worried that they will do something like resistence removing of blood on jpn ps3s with the full release.

You see the black bushy eyebrows don't you? It's playing the Japanese version of the game on your Japanese PS3. In the case of the demo, the japanese cutscenes are not included with the download, is all.

Not sure if old, but MCV has an article on the £1m month-long TV campaign that will back Ratchet in the UK. Apparently it will be entirely in-game footage.

“The ad will target 16-34 year olds, with a focus on Saturday night family programming, which draws upon a broad demographic of viewers, matching Ratchet And Clank’s target audience,” Sony product manager Lucy Garnett told MCV.

“One of the strongest aspects of Ratchet and Clank, has to be the quality of the visuals, and we wanted to showcase this in the TV ad, meaning it’ll be made up entirely of actual gameplay footage.”

Sony promises that the title will also enjoy a strong presence on broader reach sites such as Yahoo, Channel 4, and Sky Sports, to target a more mainstream audience.

“The title marries Shrek-style humour with a detailed and fun storyline to produce what we believe to be a benchmark PS3 title,” added Garnett.

Which sucks even more is that I have the pre-order kit already. Shit, it's still a month away. I'm gonna import :(.
 
Yeah, I've imported several times through them, They always mark it as 20 bucks and ''Gift''. I'll order from them I guess. All my orders arrived within 3 days (except Oblivion which took a month to get here :lol).

Edit: Cost me 57 euro and 11 cents. Skate cost 55 and Oblivion 49... What will Uncharted cost me? :(. Oh well, at least I'll get the game early now :D.
 
I generally use VG+ or Tronix to import. Usually VG+ but they were a little more expensive this time around, £35 before shipping on top, and Tronix work out around £33 inc delivery - they both take around the same time to get to you too, 3-5 days.

I would say this is the best option for us Europeans yes. They're usually very fast (3-5 days).

Fake checking out to see an estimate of what shipping costs will be.

See 4 pages ago. Forcing the game to run in 1080p when your TV can run in 720p causes that graphical glitch.

Is this similar to Rainbow Six Vegas' issue? I had to switch off 1080P for my TV and force 720P because my PS3 would run at 1080P if I did not and the game looked very fuzzy. Vegas is a 720P game and evidently had issues.

Howabout a gif of them going through that tunnel? I know it's improved for cut-scenes but the lighting in that segment is amazing. In fact I'm sure such a gif must already exist...

No I think it's more about disabling off 720p. Not that it runs badly in 1080i. The game doesn't support 1080p and doesn't like being forced to that resolution.
 
I swear, I think R&C is in at certain stores. The TRU clerk had some shifty eyes when I asked him about it today. I went for the B2G1 deal, and wanted Folklore, R&C and Heavenly Sword. They didn't have any of them...or so he said. I feel they're just trying to keep from getting boned hard with a title that can sell on its own. Someone find a store that's broken the street date here in Miami, and I'll give you a great reward. PEACE.

I went to my local TRU last night and they did have HS but no Folklore and no R&C. I asked the guy to look back in their cage.

TRU would be the last place I would expect anything new to come out on time unless it ships way early which isn't the case with Ratchet.

IIRC, they said they put all languages on one disc (since the blu-ray gives them the space to do so). So all copies should be the same no matter where you buy them. It picks the language and regional adjustments (eg, Japanese bushy-black-eyebrow Ratchet) based on the settings of your PS3.

Played a LOT of it through last night into this morning, and I'm halfway through the 3rd planet. It's SOOO worth the wait.

After that first level (same as the demo), the game is so far a pretty much unwavering 60fps. That first level in the retail has less instances of slowdown also.

Also, a full sized R&C poster just arrived today! I'm probably going to give it away since I really have no room in my house that has any space for it. I know someone out there would love to frame and hang it. :) Anyone? U.S. only sorry (unless you want to chip in for shipping)

And I KNOW that some retailers have the game in stock already. They are choosing not to sell them until next week... mostly.
