razer making xbone controller to compete with that elite one

Why would anyone buy this for $150?!?

Controllers are already expensive at $60

I like razer but this is ugly and ridiculous IMO

Every Razer product I have bought last 18 months, at most.

Razer Naga - the optical sensor only tracked horizontal.
Razer Lycosa - keys would intermittently stop working. First it was just one key, then the nonworking keys spread throughout the keyboard. So the 'A' key would stop working. 10 seconds later, the 'B' key would stop... go on from there until I physically unplug/replug the keyboard.
Razer Onza - Triggers stopped working.

I will never buy another razer product.

I bought a Razer mouse mat. Dust got stuck in it quite badly.

Wow, that is straight up hideous.

Honestly, I'm mostly considering the Elite because of the improved materials; steel construction and all that, seems like it could last longer and be more drop resistant. This doesn't seem to have that, so fuck it.

see this SHIT razer? that was my mouse after 6 months.
1 year later my right mouse button was broken

i will NEVER buy a razer product again.

oh and for the older folks here. razer products are this generation madcatz peripherals.
avoid it as the plague

Nope. Don't like the triggers on the bottom like that. However, if that it grip on the sides then I can get with that. I'll just go with the elite though.

That... is horrendous. If I ever get an XBO, or even just an XBO pad for my Windows system(s), I'd probably get one from SCUF gaming anyway (https://scufgaming.com/xboxone/)

Build quality is not the best my scuf A button paddle stopped working after a month on AW. They also take a long time to build/repair controlers and they only have a 90 day warranty.

If I was interested in a controller with paddles on the back I would probably go with the elite and I already own a scuf.

Ugly. Not that I would ever spend $150 on a controller but if I was going to, I'd buy the official MS one. Looks so much better and the build quality is probably higher too.

I actually loved my Onza.

That is...until it broke. Still need to try and fix it.

Those middle shoulder button look annoying as snot to use.
That Dpad looks like crap, too.
The only thing that I like from looking at the page is the "hyper responsive buttons" which I'm assuming were like the ones on the onza, where pressing the buttons almost felt like a mouse click.

edit:Something I noticed in the video is that they brag that it's 25 % lighter than other tournament grade controllers.
This is funny to me because one of the things that excites about the Xbone's elite controller is that people have said it feels substantial in the hands and not a light, cheap piece of crap.

The colour and stickers screams a design made by a 15-year old during class.

Why is it so hard for companies to hire some designers that aren't out of touch Fast and the furious fans?

And yeah, the price is insane like the Elite controller.

How it works though is all that matters but the pricepoint...damn

Wow...can we change the topic title for not safe to view? I was eating and literally gagging and almost threw up from seeing the picture.

Looks to me that its just a slightly altered Sabertooth (which is shite).

Doubt a few metal parts will make it any better.

Remember how shit the Razer Onza 360 controller was? I do, and I'm not falling for their bullshit again. I'll go with the Elite if I have to. Then again I'm not #1337 enough on CoD or BF to warrant that purchase anyways.

You know, I like my razer mouse, but I'll be the first to admit their build quality sucks and they're the makers of the only arcade stick to break causing a default loss at Evo.

This thing is ugly, and I would never buy it over the MS elite.

I support the budding luxury-controller market. I've been asking for it for years. I don't see why my only option has been to pay less for shittier controllers. Back in the day there was premium controllers and it was good business. Hell, even today there are small markets around all kinds of specialty controllers but the standard gamepad is generally capped to the first party offering.

Their snake pattern reallybothers me, one of the worst logos in gaming. But otherwise the design of this controller elicits some weird type of nostalgia feeling in me. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles maybe? Or some other 90's stuff.

Anyways, I don't feel it is that ugly, Razer has done much worse imo. I see no reason why people won't go with the original One controller though.

I don't get why everyone is complaining about the green, it's clearly something you can put on it if you want more grip, if you don't like how it looks, you don't have to put it on
