RC Cola vs Coke

I tried RC Cola recently to see if I can save some money when it comes to groceries, and it tastes surprisingly on par with Coke. I'm drinking it cold right now with ice and I can barely tell the difference.

Am I wrong about this, or is RC Cola actually a really good alternative to Coke?

I'd put RC on par with Coke. I would have put it ahead of Coke 5 years ago or so as they still used sugar for their product. Sometime between then and a few years ago, they switched to corn syrup.

It doesn't taste like Coke. It's not bad, but it's more of a weird inbetween Coke and Pepsi.

I hate it. tastes like a suicide of Coke,Pepsi, a drop of Dr Pepper , and Mr Pib.

RC is wonderful. The new Consol Energy Center arena here in Pittsburgh has it exclusively at all the fountains. It's the best.

Yup, that's what I drink, as I mentioned in that other thread.

Tastes very similar and is usually a lot cheaper.

I tried some Dr Pepper and RC Cola the other day at a confectionery store that stocks imported goods. Holy shit, those things were disgusting. I've had them before but they were never that repulsive. I turned over the bottles and read the label of ingredients to discover the culprit.

Filthy fucking corn syrup.

Tossed them in the bin, grabbed a six pack of Dublin Dr P and sauntered out knowing everything was going to be okay. Sugar fo' life.

This. I will only drink Mexican Coke sold at the supermarket cause normal soda is disgusting.

RC Cola...on par with Coke...I'm not so sure that's even possible for any set of taste-buds. OP, have you been to the doctor lately?

Uhhh...you might not want to drink those...

Dr Pepper is ending its 120-year relationship with its oldest, smallest bottler: the makers of Dublin Dr Pepper.

Plano-based Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. and the Dr Pepper Bottling Co. of Dublin have agreed to the move to settle Dr Pepper’s trademark-infringement case against the Central Texas bottler of a beloved version of Dr Pepper sweetened with cane sugar.

At least the OP isn't drinking Shasta Cola

That would actually make him crazy.

RC Cola is no where near Coke in terms of taste, but it's perfect for mixing with alcohol and pre drinks.

Piss on you, Dr Pepper Snapple Group. I'll be returning to my local store tomorrow, buying up what little there was of the remainder of their stock of Dublin and when that is gone I will never drink a Dr Pepper product again. Enjoy the business wise corn-on-the-cob reaming I so hope you get in lost sales.

It's not different at all, is it Steve?!
