I remember one time I had no costume to wear. All my mates went out as pirates so I found a t-shirt "I <picture of pirate> Media". Put on a pair of oversized headphones and a bunch of blank CDs with movie names written on them and started handing them out to people as I walked by wit the rest of the (traditional) pirates.

I've never made too much of an effort with my costumes. I suppose the best I managed was Mrs. Smith from "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" (after their make up fight scene) with my ex. We also did a terrifying Gatekeeper and Keymaster duo costume (I was the Keymaster and he was Sigourney Weaver!) one year where he kept getting mistaken for a slutty orphan Annie.

EDIT: You can't see my rain boots! They were the best part. Got them for $3 at Goodwill and they had little red coffee cups all over them!

Pshhh, that isn't much of a costume!
