Real Pic January! | OT2 | The Enrealening

I have an old scan of a drawing I did a LOOOOONG time ago of Vegeta. I should try and find it somewhere. It was back when I used to like drawing and was decent, not good, but decent at it.
 
Pshhh I'm a DBZ super fan. Shit owned my pre teen-teenage years. Even ran a DBZ RPG on a website I made when I was like 14 lol. Gogeta > all. In Movie 12 Gogeta's design is the pinnacle of Dragonball Z. The zenith.

So that's where it went. Goddamnit.

As for my head, it did actually get better over lunch, with the wine, surprisingly. Then things went a little off the rails, but good stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen, I should mention something. I (and I know at least a handful of you) would like to keep this party going past the month of January as discussed on the last page. I absolutely defer to the moderators and understand all manner of their potential decisions on this. Since the options re: NeoGAF would be as far as I can tell:

1. Move this thread to community with a rename ("Real it Up- Use a Pic of Yourself as Your Avatar and Get to Know Each Other"?)
2. Have a zom Real Pic February thread- an OT3, welcoming newcomers and so on and so forth, then let it all die out after February
3. Inhabiting some other thread, either a social thread with some kind of structure, or a themed thread that we'd only tangentially relate to these avatars

I hope one of those options works out. Since I could see the mods having a problem with any or all of the three, however, I wanted to mention that I'd be willing, if there was interest, to host a lightweight forum basically just to have one thread where we could continue these very enjoyable shenanigans without ruffling any feathers (obviously, using a real pic of yourself as your av would be the sole requirement for the thread).

The last thing I want to do is overstay my welcome here as a result of one of my favorite GAF experiences, so if the powers that be deem that all should return to normal after the 31st, that would be one option. Just throwing it out there!

Vegeta worked hard at being a stuck up bitch who thought he deserved all the power. Goku worked hard too and had a much better attitude about it. GOKU SHITS ON VEGETA YA'LL.
 
Piccolo gets shit on so much, he always gets more powerful then the enemy changes his form and just works him over. Piccolo has the coolest outfit too.

I don't know, I only watched some of it because it was after Sailor Moon. I do like guys with long hair though.

That clip reminded me of why I hated that show. Watching a guy powering up for fucking 4 minutes...fights during 3 episodes. The characters were pretty cool, so was the animation... but goddamn that show was tedious.
 
I watched a couple episodes in a row one night years ago with two friends who love GL.

I was laughing at them when I saw the boob lady with the sniper, then I was enjoying myself when he gained his robo-drill head.
 
Piccolo was awesome.

Personally, I love Krillin. Poor dude was the butt of every joke through the whole series. But then he got some sweet android booty, and all was good.
 
Fuck ponies, and fuck Goku.

And DBZ kinda sucks, IMO. Contained stories like The Tree of Might are okay, but when I have to watch a five episode arc just to see two adversaries find each other, trash talk, charge up, trash talk some more, charge up some more, and then finally start throwing punches, my interest really starts to wane.

Plus the battles aren't really that creative. Lots of teleports, flash kicks, energy blasts... it might look cool, but it's something a ten year old could come up with while playing with his action figures.

I only really watched the series cause nothing better was on that time of day and it was right before Sailor Moon. Tree of Might was awesome, though. Also, I much preferred DragonBall.
 
Hey, guys, I have no idea what a vegeta tastes like, so here's something to talk about:

I'm sure there's been chatter about this before, but I missed it. Anyway, I saw somebody balancing a guitar on his head, so I was wondering what musical instruments people have learned in the past.

I'm currently learning the guitar at my leisure. When I was a kid, I played the trombone for a bit for school, and I guess it might count that I was in chorus from grade ~3 until I finished High School.

Tried piano, didn't care. Tried bass, didn't care. Might try and pick up some analog synths, drum machines, etc. if I ever have that much cash to drop.
