latest

dead to me.

Remember those like 6 episodes or whatever where they went on a trip, everything failed and they ended up basically learning one thing?

Such plot development.

I recently watched the first four episode of The Expanse. Really good. Anyone else watching this?

Heard it got shitty ratings, but unexpectedly I am now hearing that it's getting renewed. Happy about that.

I haven't watched JoJo.

I adored Inuyasha as a kid, rewatching it as an adult is hilarious. I was satisfied with its second act and ending. I wept at a few episodes when people started dying ;____;

Ghost in the Shell is solid.

Dragon ball is easily top 5 animes of all time for me.

I didn't like Darker than Black. I read the manga and was like...hmmm...nope. It didn't pull me in much.

I haven't watched Gundam of any kind since I first got into anime. I consider running through it again often though.

That's about all I've got for that list.

Is it good?
Couldn't get past the first ep

I've also been watching nichijou everytime I've felt like shit, am at episode 11 at the moment.

The humour is spot on. Nano and sakamoto best chracters.

Watch more episodes.

Also, that is basically a recurring theme, the futility of man. They have been going on expeditions to learn fuck all for a long time.

First ep was a little piloty -- Sure, I guess, but it grew on me quickly. Episode 4 was pretty awesome. I like the somewhat realistic approach to space stuff and there are some neat ideas in place.

I was watching it last night! I've seen a lot of it but went through the first 2 episodes with friends. Always cracks me up with its random explosions and ridiculousness plus its well animated which makes it all the more pleasurable to watch over and over.

I am referring to the second third of the show.... I have seen it entirely. It is pretty shit. For many reasons. Basically everything outside of the setting, soundtrack and action.

Initial D transcends everything.

Only other anime I ever completed was Samurai Champloo (art and music carried me through, a couple episodes were gripping) and Cowboy Bebop (watched after Champloo, it's neat but I came to the conclusion after that one that anime probably just isn't for me).

Oh and Akira which was just nuts but the animation is awesome. Wait I guess I should include the 3 or so Ghibli movies I've seen too.

I still have Ghost in the Shell and Redline to watch.
i went to a nudist colony once.

That's as far as I'm going with that story.
There was a part of a beach growing up that had a hidden section past some rocks that was well known for nudists. When going on a walk with my parents at age ~5? I saw some floppy wangs throwing frisbee. I hadn't seen anything quite like it until Mount Your Friends came out.
Yup, why not.
Formula 1 brother hello.
People are gonna look back 6 months from now and realize TFA was only a pretty good movie at best.
But that's what I thought of it coming out of the theater.

I haven't watched JoJo.
Give it a chance if you get the time
Multi-arc plot that goes on forever with interesting characters, bad guys and powers. Very fab and crazy too which can be very hilarious

Cool. I'll check it out
Been awhile and need more scifi

I really should check out JoJo. I keep hearing about it. Maybe ill watch an episode right now over coffee.

I love cowboy bebop. All those classics hit me right in the feels.

You sure? May go by its Japanese name.

I havent turned on my xbox to check yet, im waiting for flatmate to vacate the kitchen so I can eat until then im in low power mode.

lmao im not going to watch now with no food in my belly.

I haven't watched Gundam of any kind since I first got into anime. I consider running through it again often though.
Tried it. Takes itself too serious IMO. Sort of like Knights of Sidonia, really cool looking but kinda boring.

Try One Punch Man though. Absolutely incredible and fun.

I cant get into sports animes >.>

I don't blame you. Haikyuu is one of the few I can actually watch. I tried Yowamushi Pedal....yeah seemed like that "Free!" series but on bikes.

On the other hand....I'm a sucker for music based series. Especially Sound Euphonium

There was a dutch guy I used to play Halo with who went tits for a tennis anime.

I've never even tried to watch a sport anime, even though I love basketball. I don't think I could.

One of my favourite animes used to be Tenchi in Tokyo, because I used to wish I had a bunch of girls fight over me.

T_T

Makes selling the XBOX ONE less of a boneheaded decision.

can we keep this chat out of rp please.

I watched OPM last week

I fucking loved it

DBZ is where it's at, but now the DBZ Abridged voice actors are the voices I think of in my head when remembering it.

I tried doing a run of DB -> DBZ Kai but got bored during DBZ. DB was great but the fights in DBZ just became kind of boring beam spam and WOAH POWER WAAAAAAAAH all the time. I mean I'll always love it for nostalgia reasons, but going back...ehhh.

Oh man, somehow just knowing people are going to die in that sequel InuYasha series is enough to get me tensing up. The nostalgia is strong.

Check out JoJo IMO. Which it sounds like you might be doing now anyway what with the coffee comment.

Yeah, The Expanse has gotten better throughout its four episodes. The fourth in particular is very solid.

I've read some of the books; it's definitely going to some interesting places if it's allowed to stay on the air long enough.

Anime now? I feel like we're going to cover all discussion topics pretty soon and it's only the first week!

P.S. The most recent anime I've watched is Gargantia off of Netflix (Which I liked) and Parasyte from Toonami(Which I also like).

I don't particularly like anime. All of the JRPGs I've played have pretty much worn me out with their tropes.

(I swear, if I have to play another game with yet another amnesiac...)

I wish I had cable just so I could relive the whole Toonami thing. It's so cool that they brought it back.

Gundam is cool, I'm a fan. But my tastes are not very standard-issue. As a rule, I've typically enjoyed the stuff that isn't Universal Century a lot more.

Yeah, it's awesome that it's back. I used to watch it all the time as a kid. However, it's pretty great now because of ToonamiGAF and their nonsense to go along with the shows. Was amazing when Bleach was on.

I loved Tenchi Muyo ! I still have the mangas. It was one of my favorites when I was younger. I haven't seen it in forever though.

I really enjoyed Gargantia. I'm hopeful for a sequel after that ending. I wasn't fond of Parasyte at all, honestly. It was solid in the beginning but after a while I grew tired of it and didn't bother finishing it.

So I've got this great idea for a book. You're an amnesiac girl who is secretly a princess and inheritor of a bunch of powers, and an evil empire is after you. There's this sort of brooding male co-lead, and you have tension with him. There is also this little kid, but she's secretly a thousand year old witch sorceress elf drow vampire lycan behemoth pistachio, so don't get on her bad side.

You'll need x number of legendary weapons, and probably an engineer who happens to be a womanizer. Don't worry, he has a heart of gold.

Don't level Aeris.

I'm quite sure I've played this game at least a dozen times. The childhood best friend (who is secretly in love with the lead) is also in there too, right?
