I hear you on Kill La Kill. I was put off at first. I went back months later and accepted it for what it was. It's actually funny as hell.
Ugh, I missed dinner and now I'm really hungry. I don't want to cook, so I might just drive to Taco Bell 
I could play some of the Final Fantasy games on my laptop, but I've never had any of the PlayStations. Which is probably the reason why I missed out on a bunch of these games lol. I can most likely find a friend who still has one lying around.

I tried watching it in the evening some years ago. Fell asleep every time. Like 4 times this happened. Whatever you do, don't put on Phantom Menace. Not with your sister around.

I think that's probably why it never really caught on. It didn't have all of the merchandise and entertainment surrounding it that Pokemon had. I was a huge fan of Digimon World 3. Come to think of it, does anyone know if they have it on the PSN store? And here's hoping Cyber Sleuth can somewhat revitalize the franchise over here.

I feel it did plummet pretty badly in its final minutes when it started talking about love and whatnot. You really had to suspend belief towards the end.

Steam is like the platform with the biggest amount of final fantasy games on it.
Also you can emulate the few ones that isn't released on steam.

If you want to draw boobs and stuff, be upfront about it. A bunch of people were ragging on the latest Metal Gear for the same thing IIRC
I feel like this is a problem Berserk has. Many will say that it isn't sexist because it has secondary characters who are quite important and Schierke is pretty much Guts' lifeline, but I mean Miura goes overboard with the drawing of nude females. Initially I wasn't against it because the ratio of naked men to women was about the same, but as the manga has continued, he's kind of taken a liking to drawing gratuitous female nudity.

I was way, way put off of Beserk after watching one of the movies where during the main female character's rape scene the camera focused entirely on her breasts. Utterly gross.

No spoilers here about the martian:
It is a cool movie and gives you a feeling of people working together for a complex goal in mind, you feel attached to the characters and you want them to succeed. Matt Damon rocks in this movie, the best human on the planet :lol.
Overall it is enjoyable, but doesnt give you the sense of exploration or conflict instertellar had.
Do you like it? I have heard really good things about it. Definitely plan on watching it some time.

I went through this whole series in less than a week. Not the type of series you should do that for as it can be very emotionally draining.

In your professional opinion, what's the best way to communicate a complicated concept to the general audience when each character present should realistically already understand it?
I like the internal dialog in Mr. Robot, but that doesn't fit the mood of most narratives.
I would look at it more holistically. Scientists explaining stuff mainly for the benefit of the audience was a pretty frequent thing in that movie. If there's no more clever way to get the audience to understand the idea of something like a gravity slingshot, then, well, maybe they don't really need to understand. I realize my gripes are probably sounding kind of snobby, and I don't mean to constantly poo poo things, but I just remember finding the frequent explaining of things kind of distracting. When a science movie is constantly slowing down to explain things to the dumbest person in the audience I think it's immersion breaking.
Europa Report is a film that doesn't really do this. It has some pretty deep and realistic science, but I never felt coddled. I like movies (and games and other stuff, for that matter) that respect their audience.

Bleh don't like that way of phrasing things, you'll find more cinema go-ers don't have the same hobbies and interests as us geeks, so are unlikely to know or understand frequently used concepts in films.
One of the things that movies can do well is expose people more to space, science etc in a more relatable way, so for me personally if I see a concept in a movie i understand that has to be explained, I honestly don't care.
I know, I feel a little weird about saying that. I guess at a certain point with all the explanations and "something just gave me a huge idea! I must go study!" stuff I found the movie a bit patronizing.
I'm going to confess something real pic gaf.
Until about 3 months ago I was the dude sitting in a hoodie in the back of the clasroom almost never showing my hair or face.
Spoke with no one.
Ended up getting tired by shit and went out of my comfort zone changed my style and started talking with people bit by bit.
It pays off to say the least, I also feel much better with myself.
