The game is really basic and you can have fun with it in single player and online. The matchmaking is good for setting you up with people of equal skill level for the most part except for the really good people that make new accounts so they can whoop the rookies for some reason. There is a huge learning curve too when it comes to using your rocket boosters to hit the ball in the air and stuff. I like to play in private matches with some gaffer buddies I play with daily. Nobody cares if you're good or not.

You should try it. Just play single player for a bit until you get the hang of it. I have anxiety sometimes too and sometimes the games can get so intense I have to walk away from it.

One thing to note is that the online community can be outright toxic sometimes so disabling chat isnt a bad idea. People can be rude as hell through the quick chat.

Huh I actually didn't know about that. That's definitely a turn off for me when I'm trying to have fun with a game (reason why I dropped LoL aside from not being good at it). Will keep in mind if I decide to start playing
