the valentines before i got with my ex, i bought one rose, and it went to this girl.

but it was highschool, and she was a couple years below me, and i was just embarassed. buying that rose was the most outlandish thing i'd done, and i felt really bad about what happened a mear 2 and a half months later.

I hear that. All my closest friends live on the other side of the country. I have one good buddy out here but we never hang out. Hes busy with his kids, I'm busy with my stuff. I have some beers with my neighbor on fridays but he is really old and we dont have much in common other than we like beer. Outside of that my friends as of now consist of a group of gaffers I game with.

I figure no one here would be mean enough to say something like that sarcastically and I wasn't trying to call you out, just that I have a hard time believing it so my mind tries to rationalize it away. A lot of my depression is tied to it... hopefully one day I'll figure it out.

I know what that's like; you're definitely not alone. I actually had most my friends drift away as the result of an illness taking me out for a long time. Perhaps that's similar to what you're talking about. Super close long distance friends are the majority of people I talk to by far too.
