Hey Gaf I need some help. I am currently off on the sick for the next week or so and I am pretty damn bored.

I've finsihed all the obvious titles on the 360 ( Halo, HL2, Gears, Bioshock, Oblivion etc...) and am in desperate need of my virtual fix. What would you peeps suggest I pick up?

I am open to pretty much anything that will keep me entertained for a while, say a 10hr + title.

What are some of you underrated favs on the system?

Crackdown.

The story is pretty short, but you will keep coming back to get all the orbs anyway since its so much fun :D

And its cheap.

Condemned: Criminal Origins - Great $20 horror title.
Crackdown - It's like GTA on steriods
Saints Row - Another GTA type game. It's also awesome.
Dead Rising - A must play for everyone.

WooH! Thanks for the quick replies. I started Comdemned a while back but never finshed it, its a shame I was enjoying the game but my friend took it back. I may pick it up again and start from scratch.

I have also finished Crackdown and loved it. I was looking at reviews of Blue Dragon recently and whilst it doesnt sound like a classic it does look a decent RPG. Blue Dragon maybe the one unless another suggestion beats that.

edt... Kameo! I've heard a lot about that, it kinda reminds me visually of Beyond Good & Evil. That cant be bad!

not sure what you mean by underrated. as in not-a-huge-seller like GoW or Halo 3?

if so then:

Blue Dragon
Viva Pinata
EDF2017
Project Sylpheed
Crackdown

i think all of those have been mentioned in here already though.

- Condemned
- Hitman
- R6V in case you missed it
- If you liked Tomb Raider Legends, then get Tomb Raider Anniversary
- If by chance you're an SSX fan, give Amped 3 a go. I'm an SSX rather than Amped fan, but with Amped 3 they went more towards SSX (much to the disgruntlement of Amped fans I imagine) and I really like it.
- Assassins Creed, which I adore, but it's not for everyone
- Overlord, only played the demo but it looks like great fun

If you like Dynasty Warriors: Bladestorm.
If you like Monopoly with Cards: Culdcept Saga
If you want a hack and slash:Conan
If you enjoy watering plants" Viva Pinata
If you enjoy cleaving skulls: Dead Rising
If you love board games:Catan (XBLA)

Anyone who can't squeeze 10 hours out of any of those games (except maybe Conan) has serious issues.

Sorry soco I should have said 'lesser known' rather than underrated.

I think its going to be EDF2017, Kameo or Conan.

Cheers gaf.

Oh yeah. Catan. I've burned lots of time on that. If you like the demo, you'll like the full game.

Boom Boom Rocket too.

Most people here will say the same things (and have) so I'll add two that will be overlooked:

Test Drive Unlimited Best open world driving game. Heck, I barely race in it anymore, but spend hours just cruising around the island. Excellent, execution, and should have a sequel, but sadly never will.
Stranglehold Way, way, WAY underrated game. For visceral, non-stop action, it stands up there with the best of them. I don't think I'd say it's a game to play through in one sitting, but certainly a blast to keep going back to for bites from time to time.

Somebody gotta make this thread, but with "overrated" instead.

People struggling to recommend a game they find overrated should be fun.

- Full Auto. It did not get great reviews because of technical issues, but it's great mindless fun.
- Ninety Nine Nights. Killing hordes of ennemies using super and ĂĽber-super attacks never felt more satisfying.
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance : not very pretty in new gen standards but... well it's mindless fun too. :D

I vote for Kameo. It's still one of the most technically impressive next-gen games. Some of the art ain't so pretty though.

underrated from the public or from reviewers? ive found that most of the good 360 games were rated appropriately. werent dead rising and crackdown rated pretty high?

Blue Dragon if you know what you like. It's damn nigh identical to FFV in its advantages and disadvantages: it's got a great job system and strategic battles that makes it one of the best RPGs in gameplay in years, but you'll want to skip through pretty much all of the story stuff. If this sounds appealing, give it a go

You probably ought to at least try out the Catan demo too.

All Bizarre games on the 360:

- PGR4
- Boom boom rocket
- The Club

All these games have that Bizarre magic of 2-5 minutes of high-scoring fun & excitement.
