GTA 4 for me

It is indeed a great game, but I find RDR2 to be vastly superior. The world and story are unmatched.

Red Dead 1 is for sure my favorite R* game in the last couple of generations.

RDR 1 was the game of its generation.

It‘s a shame RDR 2 was so bad and suffered from all of R* newer design issues.

It is definitely my favourite rockstar game.

I don't know if it's any better or if the formula just got stale afterwards.

I remember it being the first rockstar open world game with mid mission checkpoints and that made a HUGE difference.

I never played the game as i'm a PC gamer, i would like to though, can't see Rockstar porting it to PC sadly.

This and MGS4 are the reasons why i still keep my PS3.
These games need a proper remaster.

Outside of Undead Nightmare, Red Dead Redemption is slow as molasses. It does not compare favorably to Activision's Gun, which inspired it. That game has a better plot, better mechanics, and a great pace.



As far as open world design I do not think anything by Rockstar has held a candle to Bully. The shear density of interactivity in its world and polish of gameplay mechanics is unrivaled.



However, I am most in awe of their artistic embellishment of 80's Miami in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
