I'm kinda of sick of Euphoria, it's partially to blame with how shitty the on foot stuff has been, especially in GTA V with momentum from movement that makes everything feel sluggish and other things like tripping/stumbling that that leave you stuck in the animation unable to act so frequently, probably would help if you could continue shooting while falling and while on the ground being able to go prone, after playing so much of GTA V and especially GTA Online it gets really annoying.

Shit, I have a PS4 and I still won't buy it if it's not on PC. Super dumb. This game will be out on PC 2019 at the earliest, if at all. Not worth getting excited for. I won't miss it. Really enjoyed the first one though.

And why is that? The only reason it took the PC version took a year and a half was because after finishing the last gen versions they moved to the current gen and PC versions which were originally due to be released at the same time before the PC version got delayed six months for what I imagine was addition QA and further improvements that made GTA V the best PC release they've ever done.

Oh please.

When the millions of PC gamers who pirate decide to invest in actually purchasing games then maybe Rockstar would be willing to put the game on PC in the the first place.

Seriously I kid you not there is a reddit subgroup for pirating GTA5, pretty pathetic.

I mean if these stats listed below were not pirate copies and PC sales then the plaform wouldn't have these problems:

What the fuck? This argument? In 2016?

Hopefully I live long enough to see Fall 2017...

(This is always my initial thought when a game is announced a year or more before release)

Yeah, I agree. The poor on-foot movement is keeping me from completing GTAV. It was even worse in GTAIV. I hope they end up using something more usable and user friendly.

According to steamspy, over 5,500,000 people bought GTA V on Steam. More than the highest number on your chart from 2011.

This is actually bringing back awesome memories of max payne 3. Man it was so awesome jumping in bullet time and then continue shooting while you're on the ground. So damn good.

Some people assumed that because of the PR poster there wouldn't be enough diversity in the game. Some people reacted to those people and didn't think that it mattered. People who reacted to initial reaction largely got banned. I think the poll question should be removed because of the sensitivity to the question, it'll just provoke reactions.

Oh I see, that's a pretty tough topic.
Rockstar games are always diverse so I have no concerns about that, a lot of people want to see a female protagonist and I would like to as-well but it's by no means a deal breaker for me.

What hardware will you play Red Dead Redemption 2 on (assuming it also comes to PC, in 2018) ?

A. High-end PC
B. Xbox Scorpio
C. PS4 Pro
D. PS4
E. Xbox One S
F. XBone

A, C and F.

Going for that definitive PlayStation 4 Pro experience before a PC release, if that ever happens.
I was there day one for RDR and I will be again for the sequel of one of my most favorite games of all time.

The Scorpio doesn't interest me as most of the Xbox exclusives are now PC Games too.

Yeah I had GTA IV mentioned before I ended up going back and just bringing up V, I didn't play much of IV after finishing the story, at least not as much as I did other GTA games or Redemption. Niko falling over and stumbling really did get annoying too.

I remember hoping GTA V would take a lot of Max Payne's advancements and incorporate them into V, I didn't expect a 1 to 1 rip of the mechanics and everything (especially if they ever wanted to make another Max Payne) but at least something in that vein. But nope.

GTA is in bad need to an overhaul when it comes to on foot stuff. I hope this game advances it too though from what I remember Redemption was better than GTA V too or maybe GTA V is what followed Redemption like it did in other areas. *shrug*

I need sleep.

Yeah even on PC, GTA V on foot shooting is clunky as fuck. A huge improvement over IV but still needs work. One of the things I like a lot about playing Mafia 3 recently is how much better the shooting is over GTA V.

Lol at piracy arguments for PC non release. It's all about double dipping for people who can't wait, yet want the best experience later, i.e., the pc version. Denuvo stops day 1 piracy, yes with a popular Rockstar release the game will still be cracked within a month or so but that's irrelevant. Publishers only care about stopping day 1 casual pirates who still buy releases when they immediately can't get it for free, and Denuvo does this. The hardcore pirates who will always wait for a crack don't matter because they'd never purchase a game.

Might be in the minority but the last thing I want in this is Max Payne-style shooting in a Western game. Maybe if it was inspired by Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez, sure, but there shouldn't be aerial gunplay in Wild Bunch/Dollars/True Grit/Magnificent Seven-inspired Western action

I don't think people are asking for that, just for the same level of fluidity. Max Payne 3 is still IMO the best playing TPS ever, it just feels perfect and responsive all the time.

I know it's a R* game and all, but definitely seems a bit too much "love" for a game not made by Sony.

That said I don't actively follow their social pages all that much so I'm not sure if this is par for the course or anything.

well Sony currently is the market leader, so it makes sense

and they've always had a great relationship with each other

also ps4 is the best console out now. almost forgot to mention that.

Just trying to be realistic. If it makes its Fall 2017 date, maybe in 2018. I'd hope most of the engine work is already done from doing the GTA V port, but honestly who knows with Rockstar. I don't have hopes for it coming within a year of the console releases, so if it's pushed to 2018 I'll guess 2019.

Piggybacking off a comment above, I've been tired of the eurpohia engine for years. I get why they use it and I know it was expensive to get but the controls of the characters never felt right or good. Looks better in motion but control wise never felt comfortable.

If this doesn't get a PC release and proper Euphoria physics implementation like MP3 or RDR1 I will be pissed.

Although my faith is low because Benzies is gone.

They'll make more profit holding off on the PC release so it forces people to buy the console versions then double dip for the PC version.

And to make sure it's not as pirated day 1.

Double dipping? How many console owners own a gaming PC? Also, Denuvo prevents day 1 piracy. GTAV sold over 5 million copies on Steam alone(not counting Social Club and other places). Personally, I loved RDR, but I'm not going to go out and purchase a console for the sequel. I'm at the point of stopping support. I shouldn't have to wait 2 years after good sales on PC.

Will get bundled with the Scorpio! So glad they're launching so close to each other :D

Well... Unless it gets delayed until the Spring after. Hoping not , and we're trying to figure out who has marketing rights already baha.

They'll have a shit ton to prove without Benzies, but hopefully they learned from the first RDR coding nightmare and it only gets better. Where is Benzies now? Dude is a certifiable legend. Wish he'd help out Remedy in writing a new crime noir game with Lake.
