Something suitable for them rebooting the series as an Acid Western, where the standard trappings of the Wild West are used for more of a supernatural/allegorical angle.

I like this and also each sequel should be about different Western genres like Meat Pie Western (which were set in the Australian outback), Ostern/ Red Western (the Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc countries' take on the Western) or Space Western.
