Redfall is three years old... and almost everyone has forgotten about it

This. A thousand times. Consumers have to look at those names closer. Imagine buying the next album by Favorite Band XYZ after, for example, both the guitarist and vocalist. You already know to be cautious. No surprise when the next Led Zeppelin album sucks without Jimmy Page.

Anyway. Still a shame. And Weird West was interesting but I somehow couldn't grasp it and didn't have fun with it. Maybe the console controls just sucked? I remember finding it very cumbersome and unintuitive to play.
I don't know about console but on PC they sucked ass too until they released an experimental alternate control scheme (KBM) which is pretty great and finally could enjoy the game. There's a free demo on Steam, you can try it.

My guess is PS5 owners are about to get inflicted by the presence of this title as something they can buy.
That would have been my obvious guess too but the strange thing is that the source is saying "it's not what you think", so who knows, maybe it's something else. Turning into a GaaS again maybe? A movie?

What do you mean, I'm still laughing

Exposed Phil Dispencer as not having a single clue thinking it was an acceptable title to carry the inaugural Xbox exclusive badge

Playing it on a controller felt like one of those games where you actively have to pause and think about the controls every five seconds because it has dogshit game feel.

I'll give the Steam demo a shot again, the director deserves it at least.

We could have had Dishonored 3 or Prey 2. What a waste. Fuck Microsoft for wasting Arkane.
Microsoft fucked up releasing Redfall in the state it was in, maybe releasing it at all, but it was Bethesda/Zenimax that fucked them over first.

Game is fine.

I can make a strong case of why its enjoyable.

But nobody will take it seriously. Like Suicide Squad. Everyone just want to meme on it.

So its a waste of time.

Can respect some opinions even if can't understand them, but Suicide Squad was godawful, I didn't buy it even if they tried to force the connection with the Arkham Saga and the fact that it was Kevin Conroy last performance as Batman, but from countless of videos I watched, it was non stop repetition of the same 3-4 mechanics in a few maps against derivative bullet-sponges taking more time to go down as the map goes 85% purple most of the time

Redfall at least tried to do something in a different setting, even if the execution was the worst, but Suicide Squad is goddamn awful... and better not bring some of the character designs, toe to toe with Concord as most horrendous character designs ever

Played it vanilla at launch. A very 5/10 kind of game. If it came out during the 360 gen, it might had been considered decent.

Right off the bat you could tell it would be sloppy. You start off in a crashed ferry in a harbour. As you explore and find your way out, right away the game had detection issues picking up items and the graphics had weird shit like floating water and shittiest looking cars ever inside the ferry. It'd argue this was PS2 level quality.

Game had excellent audio though.

The game got patched to fix things up and add 60 fps. Might now be a half decent action exploration romp you can finish in a week if you wanted to. The map didnt look that big. It's no Skyrim.
