Yes, we'll be recording on Sunday evening it'll give us time to get together and discuss what we wanna talk about on the podcast, it should be a pretty interesting show. We'll also get the reactions of Japanese gamers regarding E3 and the announcements that were made during the press conferences.

Glad you enjoyed episode #39 Looking forward to recording #40, hopefully Kyle will be able to join us for the recording.

The lack of Japanese games would make a e3 podcast... hmmm. Just think think about Metal Gear Rising and Kamiya's new game and let the hype shine through. (RE6 for me too, but fewer fans for that lol)
 
Platinum never disappoints me, even when they do something different and outside of the box from their norm.

There are things that look great, the Soul Sacrifice trailer for example.
 
The lack of Japanese games at this years E3 will probably be the topic of this weeks podcast, I boarded the #E3HypeTrain but I wanna get off now because I've been severely disappointed.
 
It's not all bad. There are some noteworthy things I think.

1. Tokyo Jungle is going to the West (EU at least).
2. Project Diva at E3
3. Square showed some fancy technology
4? Namco is teasing a Tales "surprise" for the West.

I'm sure there are some other things too. I haven't read them but I've seen some Last Guardian and Kojima threads floating around here.
 
Who was it who said that it's a "lame" reason for loving living in Japan when they said that they appreciated how safe it is?

That is actually one of the best things about living in Japan for me too (along with my job and general lifestyle). I live in Kyobashi, very close to Osaka (inner city) and can go out at any time of the day or night without trouble. I am also always down at Namba (for lunch or for training) and love the fact that I can put my bike anywhere and get around without any hassle even though it's downtown.

I dunno who said it but also probably 1 of the main reasons as to why I love living in Japan. I never have to worry about withdrawing money from the ATM, no need to look over my shoulder every time I walk up to an ATM, I never feel like I'm gonna have my mobile phone stolen when using it in public. I can walk around at 3am and feel no danger what-so-ever, living in Japan is pretty awesome.

I've been stopped by the police several times when walking on the streets in the early hours of the morning...I guess they think I'm up no good. I remember being tailed by the police in their squad car for like 15 minutes, in the end they didn't even bother ID-ing me they just drove away.
 
Heh, figured as much. You guys are having the time of your life walking the streets at 2 AM while the Japanese people lock their doors when you walk by.

Wrong place to post this, but since Halo4 is looking hawt, I'm pretty much impervious to bad news. I'll be sure to lend a positive light to the several + several good Japanese games I saw.

btw, we should all take a banana snack break halfway through our Nintendo talk.

Ok Tokyo Jungle is official crazy! My phenomenons attracted a mate, we made kids then 10 minutes I was mating with my offspring! WTF! Japan

I'll livestream some more tomorrow after I get home from the gym! Hopefully Steven can join in!

I think that Tokyo Jungle is a lot of fun to play not only because it's bizarre and slightly outrageous but navigating around the environment looking for markers whilst keeping an eye on your health, hunger and stamina gauges as well as hunting for your prey is a lot of fun and pretty awarding when you complete your mission.

Maybe it's a novelty thing I dunno...I'll have to wait and see how I feel about it after several hours of play as well as playing as different animals, but so far I'm having a blast. Happy with my 4,280 Yen purchase.

Novelty doesn't go far with me these days. The meat of the game looks sort of tedious and uninteresting to me. Just my personal taste of course. I wish it played more like EVO back on the SNES, I'd be all over it then.

OK saw the encounter with the Raptors.

This game looks like a great amount of fun. Was smiling the whole 5 minutes I saw of the stream then decided to not spoil myself more and closed the stream. Guaranteed purchase when it releases in the West and day one if there was a PSN version.

BTW I enjoy the efforts you guys put and awaiting your next podcast.

The dinosaur section was so much fun! This vid showcases the better aspects of Tokyo Jungle. Looking forward to our livestream again tonight. In tonight's session I hope there will be more unique set pieces like this and less of the same ole same ole.

i also have this game from japan. But i have done the tutorial and played around with the survival mode

any idea why Act 1 is still locked to me? Act Ex is done.

Story mode acts are unlocked as you make progress in the survival mode.
