Reign of Fire: Underrated Movie?

I'm sitting here watching this thing, and for the life of me I can't see why, for it's genre, it's considered a below average movie.

Christian Bale
Matthew McConauhey
Gerard Butler
Well made dragons (for the tech)

Seriously...this film is on the level of Pitch Black and the Mad Max films imo and those movies are considered good for their genre.

Blond female pilot (she was in Goldeneye)

Because even if Dragons had actually been living in the earth the entire time, it's highly implausible that they would collapse a civilization that can harness viruses, diseases, WOMDs, etc. They aren't sky net or something cool.

I always liked the movie. I wasn't aware it was regarded as being bad. That said, I haven't seen it since i was like 16

Damn, I forgot about McConaughey looking baller as fuck in this movie.

If this movie was made today I wouldn't mind him and Bale switching spots lol.

They are mother fucking dragons.

Loved this movie, the world needs more dragon movies. The game was also surprisingly fun, especially the dragon levels.

This is the only movie that made me fall asleep in the theater and, looking back, was the first indication that I just wasn't a fan of Christian Bale.

I've always liked it; not the best movie ever or anything, but pretty solid. It's also the movie that taught me the term "sleeper hit," from reviews I read around the time it was on video.

I actually saw this in theaters. Watched again recently and I still like it alot. First time I saw Christian Bale as well.

This movie bored the ever-loving shit out of me. I was a 12 year old who was obsessed with dragons. I should have been easy to please.

It was okay, but I remember being a little underwhelmed. I was expecting it to be more badass than it actually was. I think there wasn't enough dragon action. Or something.

Off all the post-apocalyptic movies about dragons, this is my favorite.

I actually do like this movie, i'm not sure why.

I rafter liked it, It was something different to me and i rather liked the change of pace

World ended because of dragons? Ok, you have my intention.

That and I'm starting to think that the market is getting flooded with zombie movies and kinda made this movie underrated.
