Remember Me - Media Blowout [New videos/Screens]

Pretty yuck. I flipped through the video at random and saw maybe two cases where you have camera control instead of a cinematic angle? And orange arrows highlighting exactly where to climb next, as though Uncharted obvious direction wasn't enough.

Also, that Pressen idea of changing the effects of your finishing blow in the combo could differentiate it slightly from Batman. The GameTrailers preview was really informative, and the the ethical issues of "Memory Remix" seem like an interesting concept.

May, huh? Seems soon- but I do think they've come a long way from Gamescom.

Why does she have the Chozo artifacts on the back of her neck?
*shot*

Looks pretty sweet though, haven't actually heard of this game. Might look into it.

Came in here hoping for more of this:

This might have been said, but for some reason this game reminds me SO MUCH of Oni, especially the main character and some of her movements.

On a seperate note, this looks like its got potential.

Hmmm ... what ethnicity is this woman?

She goes between looking Chocolate to looking Indian to looking White depending on the lighting.

Also not sure what this game is trying to be.

Haven't watched the videos due to being at school, but I will say this.

The game interests me in a really strange way. Like part of me feels like I *shouldn't* be interested in this, similar to how Dragon's Dogma was for me last year. Hopefully they release a demo, because parts of it look pretty good, but at the same time, I just have the thought that they might just be phoning it in.

At the least, hopefully I'm wrong and it's a really good sleeper hit in sort of the same vein that Dragon's Dogma was.

If things look good with you later on, game, I will Remember You for your release.

Big maybe.

Something about the main character model looks cheap to me, but I'm pretty blown away by the environmental design. Very surprising if this is Dontnod's first game. Is it?

I do wonder if mashing up Ghost Trick, God Hand-ish customizable combos, and very hand-holdy traversal will pay off or end up creating a game that is less than the sum of its parts.

Hmm looking a little better. Looks like Mirrors Edge, Uncharted, Ultraviolet and Johnny Mnemonic smashed together and still looks mechanically clunky. The combo system looks like a spin on God Hand but is not even remotely fluid and has big pauses between each hit. Still it looks drop dead gorgeous.

So is this getting a PC release?

Yep.

Gamestar (PC only mag) preview

The PC version of Remember Me release coincides with the versions for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in May 2013. Dontnod Entertainment says, the PC version look much into "high" settings "and crisp better off 'as the console version.

In addition to these resolutions can the texture and shadow quality and anti-aliasing set separately. Dontnod also working on NVIDIA 3D Vision and GeForce Experience support.

The game runs by default at 60 frames per second (with enabled V-Sync). V-Sync is on fast computers to over 100 fps.

Keyboard and mouse support is also implemented.

I'll be honest, I was expecting it to look borderline crappy but it's extremely impressive. I just hope we can turn off the climbing waypoints, since I can see those getting annoying after a while.

you never been to ... that other part of the fancy old paris ?
Paris (the core city, not the entire agglomeration) is not consistently beautiful, of course, but I don't understand why would they put cheap and ugly looking metal sheets across the city that makes so much money from tourists, at the same time clearly not being poor enough to put fancy modern tech everywhere.

This game reminds me of Enslaved.

Dull platform, dull combat system but great universe. But enslaved had cool animations (monkey !), cool voice actors and a cool scenario. Here animations are ass and the scenario is well... The studio is french and if you don't know this let me tell you that france has the worst scenario writers in europe (french cinema is horrible). In video games look at Dishonored or even the David Cage .

Do you have some examples of the horribleness that is French cinema? (just curious) And while I agree that Dishonored's plot is nothing special, I didn't think it was that bad, more on the lines of none existence, especially at the end (at least it didn't have you fight an Academy Awards statue at the end :)). As far David Cage, I can't defend the guy, Heavy Rain was probably one of the worst adventure game story I ever played.

This game looks alright. I like the setting, but the plot premise sounds dumb. I also hope that the platforming is not as "uncharted" as it looks in this videos.

Looks sort of neat. Might not turn out to be particularly mindblowing but, yeah, looks neat.
There is *literally* an arrow pointing to where you need to be every 2 metres. Games sure have come a long way, haven't they.

The correspondent in the Gamespot video said "it's not too in your face", after which I commenced snickering.

Yeah I hope you can turn that off. Seems real silly, especially since the traversal appears quite linear. I get that they need to convey some sort of logical consistency regarding what can and can't be climbed, but having arrows constantly saying "go here dummy" is maybe a little bit too much.
