I feel as though pointing out individual net worths of people isn't giving the whole picture in regards to someone's hypocrisy.

Case in point, Jimmy Carter has a net worth in the millions, and no one ever thinks that he isn't a Christian, because he practices what he says. He goes out for chartable work like very few people in general do, which is why so many people, both Democrat and Republican, respect him as a human being. But because he's worth millions, does that make him a hypocrite?

This is more a theological discussion than a political one at this point. But I'm curious as to what you think. As a Christian, this is something I've always wrestled with, as there's direct things Jesus has said (give all your money to the poor and follow me), as well as things regarding how earning money works and when the right time to give currency is (as if you give it all away immediately, you can't earn any more though stocks and the like, which can adversely affect how much you can give in the future. Which connects to what Jesus said in the parable of the talents.)

Growing up Catholic I was taught not to read the Bible literally. Carson is a fundamentalist Christian from what I understand. Picking and choosing what to interpret is what I absolutely abhor about some Christians. I don't trust Carson and find him smarmy and disingenuous.

I understand what you're trying to say but under a flat tax plan the poor would get poorer. Which is anti Christian.

Rubio's going for the jugular - I think he's going to lock up the nomination soon if Trump keeps imploding.

I hate most of his policies - but Paul feels like the smartest person in that room by far.

I usually walk away with a pretty positive impression of Paul after these debates. He sometimes steps in to say something that might be unpopular at the moment, but closer to the reality of how international relations actually work
Yup. If only both parties could have the same mindset as him on foreign policy.
