I saw some pictures of the Wii and after looking at it for a few seconds I was beginning to wonder why Nintendo put a Reset button on it.

Why is there a reset button?

I seriously hope that you don't have to reset everytime you want to go back to the main menu. I can't think of any other reasons to put one on it, so please enlighten me! :)

there's a reset because sometimes people want to reset the games they are playing instead of turning the system off altogether o_O

...

I'm sorry i can't believe i answered that seriously

Well, I just press start (or something like that) go to the main menu and restart...
I certainly don't want to get up to reset my game...

a reset-button? OMG such a Sony Rip-Off!

What were they thinking?
"owh that reset button of Sony's PS1, PS2 and PS3 looks pretty nifty, maybe that's the source of their success?"

If every game has the option of restarting game using a menu, why would Nintendo spend 10 cents on such a button per Wii. I don't like conspiracies, but there must be a better reason. :D

Because people are such idiots they never figured out on the PS2 you have to HOLD the power button to put it into standby.

NES, SNES, N64 & GC 's reset buttons say "Hiiiii!"

holding a button on the controller (undisclosed location thus far) and the reset button together while doing a wand motion is the only way to open the secret flap at the front that houses something secret.

Or it's to RESET THE SYSTEM DUMBASS

Oh no... he's stumbled on the reset conspiracy... The button doesn't actually reset anything, it reads your fingerprint and transmits it to an array of satellites in orbit. These fingerprints are kept in a database for Nintendo's marketing department. I'm sure that aliens and big foot
are involved, but if I tell you too much, it'll blow your mind.

Everyone who played Fire Emblem can instantly relate imo. In Fire Emblem, when you lose a character in battle you will lose them for good. Thus, the leads to many occassions where you lose a character in battle but because each one is unique, you don't want to lose anyone and so you reset the game and try again until you lose no one :lol

what does that have to do with this thread? O_o
(not that this thread was really important anyways...just sayin)

must be a slow news day again. :/
