Sorry Nier, but RE2 for me.

Remake or not, REmake 2 is the better game
There is lot to like about Nier: Automata but it's a boring game, sorry.

If that is your definition of boring, your life must be fucking insane.

I'm playing Nier Automata at the moment and enjoying every minute of it. Brilliant game. Easy vote for me.
Oh wow, you haven't finished it yet? The best is yet to come.

I love both games but Nier made me feel things in video games for the first time since The Last of Us.

I am going with Nier: Automata because it is original and although I loved Resident Evil 2 Remake it was as it says a remake.

It's annoying that these two games are paired up despite having pretty much nothing in common.

But this is the first one of these that's actually a hard decision for me.

This is the toughest choice I made on this poll so far, I love them both equally, but I'm gonna go with the underdog Nier on this one.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is an amazing game in a franchise of amazing games. Nier: Automata is its own thing and it should get credit for that.

Resi 2 remake for me. Performance on PC for Nier was a joke, but Resident Evil was buttery smooth. From my short time with the console versions I'd say Resi performs better too.

Even with that to side, I still think Resident Evil 2 was better. Nier was great too, but only one can win. It's a no brainer for me.

This was a really tough choice to make, but I voted Nier.

REmake2 was great, but it's half finished.
Nier Automata has a few performance issues and the occasional crash bug, but is overall a complete and finished game with silky smooth combat.

How's it half finished?

The B-route is missing. The "2nd Run" mode only changes the intro, but otherwise follows the same story path as A-route.
As such, Leon and Claire's story events and boss fights tend to overlap each other, when they did not in the original game.

Shame it isn't all like that.

Like I said, that's great and all but then you got the long walk about segments and talking..bla, bla, bla, I was falling to fucking sleep
I ended up hating going to that Robot tree village.
I even got that 160 pound Collectors Edition because of those dam gameplay clips you guys show off and based on the demo.
But the full game? A lot boring segments

Just because they changed it around doesn't mean it's unfinished.

RE2. Don't understand the complaints about "fair" matchup. This is an overall tourney, not a genre specific tourney. If it was a bunch of genre specific subtourneys competing for GoT we would be voting on genre of the year, not GoT.

Nier Automata is one of the best RPG's ever made, although both are good games, Nier takes the cake if you've got the patience to play through the game to see all the endings (which not many people do).

What? :messenger_astonished:
Did you even read a single word of what I said?
I said nothing about them changing anything. "Changing" things isn't the problem. The problem is that half the story is missing.

It's changed from the original because it's not exactly the same. That's what change means

The remake isn't "unfinished" because it's not exactly the same as the original.

You clearly have a problem with reading comprehension. What's changed and what's missing are two completely different things.
Missing content is not change. Missing content is missing content. Especially when the story clearly expects an alternate route to be told at some point, but was cut at the last minute due to time constraints.
