How do we get the fifth giggle man I don't have to time so spend hours dicking around on this
I feel like the only reason this was included in the demo was because of how much time people spent originally looking for stuff.
Is this demo scary? Downloaded it but really afraid to play alone here, lol.
Any PSVR impressions?

I just played the demo in PSVR.
The atmosphere is incredible. Even though you know it's a horror game, you really do feel like you are stuck in a house in which something/someone is going to come and get you.
I really felt like I was in the house and wanted to get the hell out of there before something/someone came after me.
It's very similar to the atmosphere in the PSVR Kitchen demo the first time you play it.
Any chance RE7 will support Move controllers?
It looks like it will. Sometimes when you look down you can see your floating hands.

Old stuff maybe, but how exactly do you get the gun Or axe again? I got to the basement for the first time and boom.

I'll add to the theory about needing to get a ghost sighting in the VHS tape (possibly 2 sightings) to trigger the final giggle. I played through the VHS 5 times in a row without a sighting (and i was specifically looking for them) Then on 6th run through of the tape i got 2 sightings, then got the giggle immediately afterwards.
In the basement you'll get the valve off the gurney. You use the valve in the bathroom and then flush the toilet. The gun is in the toilet. The lock-pic you get in the basement can be used in the kitchen. The axe is in the locked drawer.
Don't think so. The Navigation controller hasn't been used (if it's even supported) by any PS4 game, so movement wouldn't be possible with just a Move controller.
Every time I go into the basement to grab the valve the monster spawns and I'm trapped in the basement and die.
How do I get out with the valve.

I didn't notice the ghost at all on my second VHS run but then I wasn't paying attention and/or didn't know to look. So its entirely possible that I missed her being at one of those locations and was lucky enough to have triggered the giggle on my second trip.

It has 7 possible spots you can spot it at, all of them it flashes on screen for only about two second and you can't just stare at the spot, you have to look at it at the exact right time. I don't have the timing down perfectly, but it's tied to the position Pete and Andre are at in the VHS sequence.
Here are the seven spots you can sight the ghost at (in order of appearance):

That puzzle is honestly ridiculous. Way too obtuse. How are you supposed to figure it out? How did people even figure it out, except by crazy pixel hunting trial-and-error that must have taken forever?
GIGGLE #5 is most definitely tied to the ghost in the VHS tape. You have to see the ghost at least once in TWO separate trips through the tape (not three, as mentioned earlier). That's the key. To the people who are claiming it's not, I'm sorry but you're wrong. I've watched these videos you're posting of people who seemingly get it to trigger without seeing the ghost. The thing is, they're not paying attention to all 7 spots where she appears (especially the two spots in the kitchen). They're simply not seeing her.
Here is my playthrough in which I get GIGGLE #5 to trigger (starts after the 00:38:00 mark). There's some idle moments, so you'll have to skip ahead on occasion. Do as I do and be sure to see the ghost at least once in two separate trips through the tape, and I guarantee the 5th giggle will trigger for you. I've replicated this three times already. If you happen to see her more than once during one trip through the tape, it won't count as two sightings. You'll still have to play through the tape again until you get another sighting.
This is my brother's playthrough. He does things a bit differently, like use the gun on the portrait instead of the axe to trigger GIGGLE #3. But he gets GIGGLE #5 to trigger using the same method.
Aside from possibly that early version of RE4 with Leon in the castle, has the RE series had ghosts before? Seems so odd to me this is part of the same universe as the other RE games.
This version of the demo is pretty much what they needed to release in the first place. Now it is actually really good and interesting but I am already so tired of the initial area and the VHS that I am more bored and at times pissed off by playing it.
Also how do you get the true ending? I always get hit by the monster and can't even kill it so I always get the infected ending.

It's better to just play the final update since it added a shit load to the original including an area the size of the original. Only thing that is missing is the phone doesn't ring anymore so there isn't anything to do with it.Does the updates just add new things or modify completely the demo? Can someone who never played the demo before and after each update, just waited for the final update, regret that?
It's true, you have to see the ghost at least once among other things.
Those are the only times I was able to get the coin. Unfortunately, she doesn't show up all the time, even if you look at all the spots and that's why people aren't able to get the fifth laugh.
Dusk, I think it's time to put this in the OP.
if you still doubt his theory, check my video.

at 18:02 the ghost shows up and i wasn't even paying attention. Soon after in the kitchen I end the video, make my way to the doll and the giggle triggers.
good work, komba

Oh pfff. I knew they would remove some stuff. What did it do before?
There's a lock pick in the basement? Where? I've been going into the VHS tape to get one every time I play the demo.In the basement you'll get the valve off the gurney.
