Resident Evil 7 Spoiler Thread

Beat the game on Easy and Normal, with both endings, got all Bobbleheads and 3 hour completion time. How much trouble will Madhouse mode give me? I just want the infinite ammo, I guess. How do I know when a checkpoint occurs, or is there a list of Madhouse difficulty checkpoints?

You should have and keep the glasses and the Albert 01, knowing where resources are is incredibly helpful since they are hidden really fuckin well on Madhouse, as for the gun, get the improved bullets when possible because it hits like a truck with those, the circular saw can be usefull but i hardly used it in combat since it requires to be way too fuckin close and the molded can still hit you easily when you are damaging them, other than that it's not that hard honestly, biggest problems in Madhouse are the common molded but especially the"licker" molded, they are insanely fast and do a shitload of damage, avoiding them if spotted it's almost impossible so just aim for a quick headshot and never turn your back on em

Save the steroids for an emergency heal, don't waste em, menaging heals it's the most important thing here

Cassettes shouldn't worry you, they are just the right quantity to not leave you stuck

Also get the "offense coin"as early as you can since the improved damage can save your ass during boss fights, skip the magnum alltogether

They kinda did back in the day for advertising

A true pity

lol, don't worry i get that a lot. My taste in things is apparently mostly unparalleled and far to off the wall for most.

Looks like Lightning from Final Fantasy.

It wont happen.

They will make it first person and they will remodel Reginas face.
Forget all that, first, let's wait and see if Capcom even remembers Dino Crisis. :P

On a more serious note, if it does come back, those dinosaurs better be scientifically accurate now. DC2 is an amazing game, but as a dino enthusiast, the designs are top notch, but those sizes are LOL worthy.

I mean, Vendetta Chris looks bad but you can still tell "It's Chris", RE7field looks like a totally different person.

It's like giving someone a white wig and tell me it's Dante.

Oh wait they actually did it

/s

Realistically, this might be just the result of RE Engine + less stylizied artsyle.

Are people denying that the ending of RE7 is Chris? I wasn't following the thread. But the credits clearly say it's Chris.

So? That doesn't mean squat, like i said before, Capcom are not going spoil that in the credits, there is still DLC to come that surely will explain.

It sucks because although Occam's Razor says it's Chris, I wouldn't put it past Capcom to think they're pulling some clever shit by making him a doppelganger.

Remember, the entire chain of events in RE6 was set in motion because a guy was obsessed with Ada and tried to clone her.

DLC that will explain how it's chris and not even mention why his face is different.
I'm gonna make my thread again when that DLC comes out about how capcom botched his face. Since by then it won't be a spoiler.

Capcom also likes to set up 'shocking reveals' with no payoff, much like the Leon and Chris pointing their guns at each other thing in RE6. "Why is Chris working for Umbrella?" And then in the next game. "Oh, he's actually not, it's just some other guy who posing as him."

I dunno though, I'm of two minds about the whole thing. I really want it to not be Chris because I don't care for the new design, and people have made some strong cases for it. But on the other hand I know it's probably Chris.

If it is I don't look forward to seeing Leon/Claire in the new art style.

Why must you remind me.

* Guy who was shoehorned in to bomb Raccoon City obsessed with Ada
* Clones her
* Sets up the death of the President and then bombs Tall Oaks too
* Ada mk II creates Neo-Umbrella to rule the world
* Chris gets banged the fuck out and becomes a forgetful alcoholic

Like, I cannot get over how fucking ridiculous RE6's plot was by RE standards (which says so much). The worst piece of shit storyline ever concocted. I said it before and I'll say it again - the canon should have ended with RE5's finale. They continue the fuckery with the Revelations titles too. They have no idea what they're doing. RE7 was a drastic improvement by dropping any direct relation to the ongoing superhero plots.

How was that shocking? That was cool as fuck. And that was just a scene because they didn't know that they would be there.

Do you mean defense coin? I never used any of my coins on prior playthroughs to buy the weapons, I never knew you could do that. It wasn't really explained, or if it was, I missed it.

Well before the game came out you didn't know what the context of the scenario was going to be. And it was all over their marketing to the point that it's even on the back of the game box. So the intent is to make the player wonder "Why are Chris and Leon fighting? How's this going to effect the plot? How is it gonna get resolved?" But the whole thing is pretty much irrelevant to the game as a whole and is played out and resolved in the space of about 3 minutes.

Nope, there's also an Offense Coin wich boosts your attack in Madhouse, it's in my opinion a must

So if anything. Chris becoming bad is because of the complaints that there was no actual fight in RE6. "Oh RE fans wanted them to fight? Well then we'll just make chris a villain now. He can fight everyone now"

Oh, must have missed that, I can see people being freaking the fuck out over that.

Vendetta probably sets up more bad blood between Leon and chris. Leon probably is the reason Rebecca dies or something in the movie.

Come on now, there's no need to be so sardonic.

Chris fells betrayed and no longer thinks BSAA is worth it. He joins the new Umbrella to estabilish a new world order and Leon needs to hunt him down and kill him in RE8.

WORKS FOR ME

The 3 minutes scene between Chris and Leon was probably the best part of Resident Evil 6, to be honest. And I liked the game. :P

Also, if the trend keeps up, we will most likely see and even play (briefly) as Ada in RE8. She has appeared as a playable character in all the even numbered titles in the mainline series so far. Heh, Leon too, thinking about this further.

Loaded an old save to get the second ending and interestingly enough the moment it loaded the old save a message popped up saying they added the Albert gun and the defense thing to the chest. Don't think I've ever seen a game add game end items to an old save like this.

As for the Zoe choice/ending, it was pretty lame and it makes no sense to pick this choice overall from a story standpoint. The idea of a choice is cool but this execution of it wasn't.

I need this in game form -_-

Doesn't RE Vendetta take place in New York (love how Capcom goes back and forth between using real world locations and made up ones)? I can't wait to see how yet another major city gets fucked up and the world doesn't seem to give two shits. Everyone and their nan has a BOW.

GET OFF MA LAWN *points a spud gun loaded with Uroboros pellets*

Beat this last night. What an amazing game. Blown away.

I honestly was legit shook when I found out the grandma was evie the entire time. Reading the data files about the reports on evie and how she was seeming to age rapidly should have been a big sign but it went right over my head. I absolutely loved this game.

One thing that's not clear, did the older son live? It seemed like he was the boss when you find Mia and Zoe but the dialogue from that fight sounded like I was fighting Jack again. So did the brother live? Or did I miss something?

I also really loved the scene at the end where you're talking to Jack in some sort of dream state, and he seemed like the sweetest dude. That scene really humanized the Bakers for me.

Evie was fucking scary as hell. The boat onward was the scariest parts of the game for me. The last 10-15 minutes was insane.

Chris was lucky he was fighting RE6 lame ass Leon and not RE4 Leon "your small time" Scott Kennedy. Chris would get his dopey alcoholic head supplexed right in.

to be fair the same applies the other way around, since that's 'PTSD + amnesia' chris instead of 'ready to die at any moment to save even one life, punches boulders in active volcanoes' superman chris from re5

Got all collectibles so now all that's left is a madhouse run (with antique coins) to get the Plaitnum.

I'll probably wait for some guides before doing Ethan Must Die.

The main question is - will Leon ever get an updated hairstyle?

Top knot Leon to appeal to the new generation?

Comb-back and pony tail to appeal to the Thor: The Dark World fans?

So why does Eve have the family keep the serum around if she hates it and knows it will kill her, also that it serves no benefit for her? Why not just have them toss the body parts required to conjure it into the river or in a fire?

It seems like Eve can read the minds of the people she controls, so wouldn't she know? Zoe tells you when you reach the cabin that she thinks her mother hid away the other doll part and we know that the crazy Baker son knew about the parts because he taunts you about them.

Yikes.

Looks like a young Barry, I dread to think what They've done to the other characters.
I mean Chris from Vendetta looks odd but you can tell its Chris.
I think guy died in Chris's campaign in RE6.
Also anyone explained why the helicopter had Umbrella on it? Maybe this is fake Chris? lol
