The emulator screens are likely being rendered at 1080p with tons of AA, then downsampled. So they would look better.

No reason they can't get RE4 to run 1080p on the consoles, or improve lighting or do ...something. Why don't they just put this up on XBLA/PSN

Of course it was going to be a port. RE4 is one of my all time favorite games but it looks awful on my HDTV.

How long have you got?

All released versions of RE4 are fundamentally flawed in some way, so if this is just the GCN version in HD it's still long overdue.

Don't get me wrong. I'd prefer a high quality RE6 over another remake, but if the decision to re-release it is already there I just wish they'd have put more work into it.

Don't get me wrong. I'd prefer a high quality RE6 over another remake, but if the decision to re-release it is already there I just wish they'd have put more work into it.

That's the key thing though. This is a re-release and not a remake. Just like the Archive games on the Wii or the PS1 RE titles on the GameCube.

Only played the GameCube version of Resident Evil 4 so I don't know much about Separate Ways but I hope the achievement for beating Separate Ways references the Journey song by the same title, no matter how inappropriate it might be in relation to the game's content. Could be as simple as just calling the achievement "Ada's Journey".
