100% manufactured.It's a manufactured controversy. All these years and I'm yet to be convinced that it's anything but. I'd wager that half the people who parrot RE5 being controversial couldn't tell you why.
N'Gai Croal of Newsweek did an interview with MTV Multiplayer back in 2008 about it and even said in the interview "Wow, clearly no one black worked on this game." And went on to criticize Capcom for putting black zombies in the trailer. And of course from there it picked up steam with every game journalist.
