Season 3 Trailer

Warning: The shows are unedited as far the comments go. The people in the show are VERY good friends, comments made by some players may be viewed as racist but I can assure you it is all in good fun and no one there is actually racist (we have people of all sorts of colors, races and sex play at Arcade-in-a-box). Arcade-in-a-box does NOT tolerate any derogatory remarks meant to harm anyone.

The show is all in fun, and started as something my local scene has done for a long time. Play random titles, talk smack, and see who ultimately is the better player. I honestly don't know how long they are gonna keep this up but if people like it enough I'm sure more will be produced. For now one season has been completely shot and episodes will be released weekly. And to those that follow the Fighting game community, maybe for future episodes we can get players like Latif and sabre to get on the show.

Let 'em know what you think, they really want to improve the quality of the show.

That was pretty fun. I have NEVER heard of that game Swimmer though.

It actually seems that dying in that game would help you in a score attack situation as the fruit respawns. Fruit seems less plentiful as you go onwards in the level.

I was originally going to edit them into one game show segment (6 games x 3 players, so 18 games played total). Then realized it was going to be too long and too hard to hold people's interest.

More frequent might happen, depends how good I get at video editing. The first episode was really my first attempt so I am kind of learning as I go. Each episode is taking less and less time, so it might be possible to do them bi-weekly starting with Season 2.

Thanks for all the support. Any help in spreading the word of the show and the youtube links would be awesome.

They're on the short side, but I thought they were great.

edit: Wait what, these are the only replies so far after a week? Injustice. >:|

Thanks!

Yeah, we are actually going to do a short little video about how the setup looks and the frontend we designed to give it that game show feel That screen you see where the game selection happens actually running on the PC. They hit the big Button in the middle of the control panel and the game pops up.

Interesting, I did not know that.

So swimmer was made by Tecmo and licensed in the US by Centuri.

Thanks again for all the nice comments. EP3 is all finished (to be released Friday) and 4 is about halfway day.

This is totally the return of Starcade, which is awesome!

Only your point system is far superior to their cumulative scoring system.
And you aren't nearly as condescending to your contestants.
And you have better production values.

Oh, but you don't have Mark Richards....but you can't win them all.

Hope you guys get enough of a following to stick around for a while.

This was AWESOME.

I always like watching people play games. This was a lot of fun. I remember watching gaming shows on TV and they were always very annoying, because while the gamers gamed, they would usually focus on the announcers and and talk about a lot of crap and have annoying music playing in the background without actually showcasing the gamers who were competing.

This was done awesomely. I like the simple production values, and splitting the screen between the actual game and the people's faces, so you can always look exactly where you want to.

I'm only diappointed that I discovered this so early, because I was ready to go on like a 20 episode marathon. The wait will be hard. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I'm sure I explained this well.

After the 6 games, the season ends. The winner will come back to season 2 as the champ.

Episode 3 will be out late Thursday night.

If I had to criticize this show, I would say, you need to do the entire tournament in an episode. They are too short.

And you need to post a new tournament every day.

Or maybe a couple times a day.

So yeah, I love this.

Thanks guys.

King of Fuh,
When I first started editing the show I was planning on doing all of the 6 games in one episode. It was obvious that the show would be over 30 minutes long unless we cut out a ton of game footage. As I was working through it, I came to realize that it would get too boring if you had to watch the same game, 3 times in a row times 6 games. (18 in all)

Maybe we do need to release them more often, but right now editing each episode takes me many hours as I just started to learn Premiere with episode 1. When we shoot season 2, we know a lot more about what we are doing and we can make it easier on the editor (me).

Thanks for the criticism, going to mark it on my list of things to bring up to the team.

ArcadeEd I was just joking!

I love the show, I know how long editing takes. All I was pretty much saying was MOAR!

Not real criticisms. You release these at your own pace.

I am really digging these! The format is well executed and you guys create a really fun atmosphere. Consider me subscribed.

Just watched the first three, really enjoyed them so well done. I think what I like about it is that you can tell everyone is comfortable and having fun.

We are gonna begin shooting season 2 in about a week. Any suggestions you might have please let me know and I can bring it,

My only fear right now is if the show starts to get stale after a little while.
