-1920x1200 resolution support

-Stable framerate

-Long draw distance

-Far better overall graphics

-Proper mouse aim for all weapons.

-Load times effectively eliminated (0.5 seconds?)

-Mods
Lets not forget a custom radio station, that was one of the best parts.

That was the best part.
he can drive a road race blind(even if he keeps dinging the car) but his clan are lying and letting him win at cards all the time lol

gang banging was the best part...once the game lost that I was like wtf? that was like the whole point of the setting I thought. Still a great game!!!!

Piloting a plane is frustrating at first but becomes incredibly fun once you get the hang of it. And chuting out is even better! I can't believe I missed out on this four years ago.

Anyway, I just got to Las Venturas and is it me (or my PS2) or does the game get some serious slowdown in that city? It's a lot more noticeable than in San Ferrio and Los Santos.

So where is everyone at? I completed the game - woo! I've put so many hours into this game, well over 100, and never gone past the gang banging area - just used cheats and did jumps and stuff. To finally complete the game is pretty sweet.

Did the last mission in one try - but I was playing on PC so its pretty easy. Except I couldn't turn the night vision goggles to thermo vision, no idea what key it was and I was running out of time XD

Incredible game - I love how it has tonnes of little cameos and famous voices - Axl Rose, Andy Dick, the guy who voices Tobius Funke and of course, Sam Jackson. I hope GTA 4 can live up to this -
Ricky Gervais
is a nice start (no spoilers please!)

I'm ready to
take down the Loco syndicate now
. So three missions I think, and then it's onto
the desert, and with it, PLANES. Hell the fuck yes.

Do you actually get to play in
Liberty City
? I never got that far, but the cameo from the young
GTA3 main character
was incredibly cool.

Ah gotcha. That does sound neat in any case.

I re-installed SA last week to putz around with, and it's still a lot of fun but man my eyes, they burn. And the thought of actually trying to play through the whole thing is positively daunting, so on the cheat codes went.

This.
And the
jetpack!!

I bought SA a few days back off steam. Shoulda bought it earlier, i'll never get to the 2nd island before 4 hits, let alone finish it. Oh, to be unemployed again...:D

How do I install this SRT3 pack, the install instructions were obviously done by someone who speaks English as a third language or something:

" - FIRST INSTALL SRT3 FINAL VERSION V1.0 ON A CLEAN GTASA 1.0. AND READ THE README.FILE FROM INSTALLATION - IT GONA SHOW YOU WHEN YOU GONA INSTALL ( IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MOD YOU CAN DOWNLOAD FROM HERE http://www.gtasa.fr/download.php?act=view&id=1541 )
- MAKE A FOLDER, ( YOU CHOSE THE NAME ) AND EXTRAC THE FILES FROM THE 5 ARHIVES
- THEN OPEN Alci's IMG Editor 1.5 Final ( IS BETTER THAN IMG TOOL V2.0 - BECAUSE YOU CAN PUT ALL THE TEXTURE IN ONE TIME - YOU CAN DOWNLOAD FROM HERE http://gta-worldmods.planet-multipl....php?path=content/download.php&contentid=1840 )
- IMPORT ALL THE TEXTURE FROM SRT3 FINAL CONTINUE V1.0 ARHIVE AND THEN CLICK ON REBUILD THE ARHIVE. DONE !!"

That SRT3 texture mod looks awesome. Combined with ENBSeries mod and Tony's plant textures GTASA looks crazy good.

Wow, that above pic looks really good. I have been playing San Andreas most of the weekend and am currently doing missions in San Francis...err Fierro. Never made it this far before in the game and while it is nice to get out of the hood of LA, I do kinda miss the condensed feel it had, as well as the turf war stuff. I really dug killing time just changing the map to green, finding good locations to take down waves of ballas all the while watching my gun skills get upgraded like mad.

Since hitting the countryside, it is getting insanely irritating getting around. Failing missions especially hurts when you have to slog so far to restart. Oh and there just isn't that much to do out there. LA had all sorts of stuff going on, but the progression really nosedives in the country. Missions lack variety out here, and I couldn't believe I had to do two back-to-back races and 3 robberies in a row with no other option for progress. It is insane how massive the landmass is though to its credit.

Good game, but GTAIV just looks to fix everything and beyond.

It doesn't matter what order you do them but you have to finish both Wu Zi's and Jizzy's missions to get out of San Fierro.
Thanks. I read it before.

Been playing SA on and off the last few weeks and I got to the last mission a few hours ago. I'm probably gonna try completing it tomorrow.. damn intense.

AWESOME GAME!! even though last time I played it was in 2006 and I still only had 30% completed (I got it on realse 2004). So I I just jumped in the game in the middle of the story on 22/4-08 :P. Still really good though.

Also done on PS2 with HDLoader but, yeah it's amazing how bad the game looks on the old gen consoles now. bleh.

Guys I am seriously considering buying SA for the PC but I've never played the game before so I have a few questions I'm hoping you can help answer for me:

1)Obviously I'm going to want all the visual enhancement mods. Is there one good website that contains all of them?

2)Can you instant save your game anywhere and anytime in the PC version of SA?

just used cheats

5)Can you please provide a link to where you found the cheats? What are some of the cheats you can use in SA? I heard a rumor that there's a cheat mod that let's you play as Dante from Devil May Cry 3, equipped with crazy sword combos and all. Is this true?

man, i still remember i spent so much time just driving around, running around and climbing up buildings/mountains to take pictures with the camera in game

The custom radio station in GTA:SA isn't a mod, isamu. You simply place MP3s/OGGs (or shortcuts to them) in to your GTA:SA Custom User Tracks folder (My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\User Tracks).

From there you boot up the game, scan for custom tracks, and then you can set it up: Play your songs in order, play them shuffled, or play them like a mock radio station with advertisements interspersed every now and then.

In all honestly, I think a new thread probably would garner more responses since threads with 0 responses are more peculiar than ones with 200. But I tend to doubt that the game can go much higher than 1050 resolution.

I used to love this game, but it really shows it age with frustration inducing elements abound.

This thread caused me to rebuy the game on Xbox Classics. San Andreas owned me for an entire year. Oh for the days when a single game could keep me satisfied for that long. Nothing seems to do the trick any longer.

That Video doesn't work in my country :/

I started San Andreas the day before yesterday and i love it. The ENB Series Mod also works with the Steam-Version. I even found a good config for the mod. The Game looks kinda awesome now.

The controls are a bit jiggy at times but whatever.

Great game...

Haha, that makes me want to play it again

Haven't in about 6 years... damn, time flies. I vividly remember so many great missions and moments from this game. I loved the cruising outside the cities so much.
