There's a change coming.

American made movie are now almost consistently making more money overseas. Studios have to start realising there is a wealth of money to be made out there. Soon they'll realise dumbing down movies for the American public is actually damaging their performance.

Bring on the better all round movies. Americas reign of stupid, cliché filed, box ticking, politically correct, formulaic hundred million dollar marketing budgets pieces of shit can go to hell.

Hell just look how your TV is cannabilising your movies on every scale of quality.

Time to die Hollywood.

The hell

I love the Riddick universe, I always hoped this series spawned some sci fi books. I'm pretty sure there were only 2 novels and they are adaptations of the movies.

Just watched it.

Oh sweet Jesus that was terrible. I've never seen the other movies but this was slow, painful and terrible written besides a few actually funny moments.

This review is useless.

No offense to BackwardsSuggestions. I need context.

Need more non spoiler details. Your bumming me out dude.

Basically, like I said, I never watched the first 2 films so this was my first Riddick flick. The start is boring to me, yes it sets up what's going on but Vin Diesel can't carry 20 minutes on his own.

During the film, you could never tell what part of the film it is, the story was useless and literally, was the simplest thing in the world.

On the plus side, it was well acted for the most part.

Hope you guys enjoy it though and I apologize for not being able to review things properly. Probably best to just ignore my opinion. :)

Rewatching Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick since i rebought them on blu ray. Also rebought again Escape from Butcher Bay on gog.com still holds up to this day. My body is ready for this movie reviews looking stellar!

Vin Diesel in character as Riddick could mumble the phone book sarcastically for 20 minutes and it would be great.

This might just not be your thing.

And nude Starbuck at that.

That's like the opposite of a spoiler.

You think that the non-American movie going public have a more sophisticated taste?
I gather you have not been following the overseas markets particularly closely.

Pffft. Bitter Pacific Rim hater.
People who can't appreciate Pacific Rim are the worst people. Why even watch movies if you're numb to the delight of earnest cinema that's childish in the best possible way? I mean, if the idea of giant robots fighting evil monsters doesn't bring a smile to your face, just save yourself the price of a ticket and spare the world your stodgy grumbling. I can just imagine that critic pulling a sour frown in the middle of a cheering audience.

If peeps are re-watching the other movies before seeing this I highly recommend the directors cut of Chronicles. Not a huge huge difference but it kinda
fleshes out the Furyan "destiny" shit a bit more

Yeah. No way this is better than Pacific Rim.
