Holy shit I just learned about this now. This has to be one of the most shocking and saddest celebrity deaths for me... wow :(

RIP Michael Jackson.

I can't stop posting my sadness. This is the worst news I've heard for years.

It's so silly too, with the real problems happening all over the world.

I'll have to love Justin Timberlake that much more now.

I hope they release MJs stuff on Blu-ray. DVD won't do him justice. I need to go out and get Off The Wall, I already have Thriller.

I only have Thriller also. Used to have Bad on cassette when i was just a kid.

I'm going to be watching the Bad tour tonight and then the Dangerous tour in tribute...

We won't see another MJ in our lifetime. Like Sway said on mtv, for a generation, MJ was our soundtrack.

God it would be a great tribute if MTV played nothing but videos again for a week.

All videos, all the time.

I can hear the old theme again...BUM ba-DUM ba-DUM DUM.

Due, the 80's are dead.
If I remember correctly, you aren't very old...For people like me (late-30's), his music framed our lives and our formative years...It doesn't matter if you liked his music or not! He was huge and nothing today compares. I don't think you could understand...

Wow, I just found out about this. I am totally shocked. The Thriller album was one of my most played cassettes when I was a kid. I loved good ol' 80's MJ.

R.I.P

Am I the only one who is gradually starting to feel like shit? When I first heard the news, I was shocked, but kind of in a "suprise celebrity death" kinda way. Now it's really starting to get to me.

When I was a kid I used to listen to his shit all day! And I would watch videos and pause them so I can learn his moves. Then I'd put on a show in front of the family and stuff. Good times.

Let's bottle up our emotions together GAF.

Someone's spamming celebrity Twitters (this is Xzibit's) with a link to "pay respect" to Michael. Needless to say, it's Goatse.

Right? MJ was music for me when I was a kid. I'm going to all night karaoke tonight, and I don't care how bad I sing, it's going to be a fucking MJ Marathon.

i haven't seen shit on mtv. are you guys talking about mtv2 or mtvU or something? Futurama is on here, with normal commercials.

Thriller came out the year I was born. I can't believe this. My parents are in shock. My Mom remembers seeing him when she was a young girl, he came to concert with the Jackson Five...that was before he became so big a star. They would go to parties and boogey down and that stuff. This is just shocking. I dont know what to think or say, I feel shell shocked. And I know that this is pretty bad, but I havent felt such a big loss in the world since Princess Diana died. Nobody else has came close. It seems like it's like that all over again

Can't believe it. I've been listening to Thriller since I heard and I'm completely choked up. Truly a gift to music and entertainment.

RIP
