I got Rock Band at launch but just found out about custom art stuff. So, I made some!

Your Rock Band characters, show me them!

EDIT: Official Rock Band forum custom character thread.
http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12229

I'm still going through it but alot of good stuff.

I am... deeply shamed. I never messed around too much with the custom art stuff, but I guess I can show my guitarist's clothing coordination D:

Is that feature only in the PS3 version? Haven't noticed it in my 360 copy.

In the character customization section, pick a blank shirt and press yellow fret. You can apply the same design on shirts and instruments.

How do you do this in the 360 version? USB portable storage device?

It's like Forza. You have to layer shapes together in the game itself. And only 24 layers per design, instead of thousand in Forza....

Oh

I thought you imported pictures.

Now that I know it's literally custom, I'm impressed!

layering what? Are you shrinking the pre-made icons and combining them to form new shapes or create straight and narrow lines? How the hell do you do this?

Impressive, btw.

I want to emphasize that these are NOT mine and I shamelessly stole them from the official Rockband forums, but I hope these inspire GAF.

I still don't understand how to put custom artwork on shirts and guitars.

wtf? where? I've checked many shirts and never see the option?

is it specific shirts? can anyone steer me in the right direction?

How does I am custom art

Honestly, dude, not to be a dick or anything but please stop talking like a retard.

This forum has seen some serious ups and downs (mainly downs) in it's time but the recent increase of chan-isms in every thread is seriously disheartening.

It's specific shirts. Just the really plain ones as far as I saw messing around with it really quick. Plain shirt, plain hoodie, plain wifebeater. A "press something to add art" or whatever comes up on the bottom by the "press A to change color".

All my guys have been from The Office so none of them really have any "art." I mostly play drums as Kevin Malone. Guitarist is Dwight Schrute, and singer is Michael Scott. I keep meaning to make Jim Halpert but I've been lazy and there's no reason to rush since I won't have a second guitar for awhile.
Fiance made Sex Bob-omb with Scott Pilgrim, Kim Pine, & Stephen Stills. Though Scott plays guitar and there's no bassist.

And here I am thinking I was cool with making Skwisgaar, Nathan Explosion, and Pickles in my game. I need pics of them. I tried making Toki and Murderface, but couldnt get the facial hair to my liking.

Is there a youtube video or something showing someone making a design? I don't have this or Forza and I'm quite curious.

you pick / buy a shirt if it qualifies you press the yellow fret to add art. Its like the tattoo feature except for your shirt. There are "stickers" / "tattoos" that are simple shapes like circles and squares etc.. and you just layer them to make whatever. If you want something with an outline thats more tricky as shapes with outlines dont merge so you have to cover unwanted lines with solid non outlined shapes.

My characters are just my best rendition of other artists. Though my guitarist is so whacked out now I forget what he originally looked like.

Oh my god. I need to do this when I get home.

I have

in magnet form already.

I need that as a tshirt now.
