Just played the new songs and I though Push It would be garbage but its amazingly fun to play. I was surprised.

still gotta get the offspring pack.
I had to read this several times to realize you were talking about push it by statics-x

The Fucking Champs are pretty rockin'. Although it kinda feels like metal medleys of your favourite 8 bit videogames that don't actually exist. Not that I think that's a bad genre to be a part of.

Love how AC/DC is so big and the RB logo is so much smaller.

Waaaaaaaaaaaait... I wonder what the resell value of the disc will be to Gamestop?

Buy it on launch day @ 40
Add songs
Sell it to Gamerush/ Gamecrazy for ~$20?

Pretty sure they'll be wise to what you're doing. Trade in will probably be like 7 bucks at best. Hell getting 7 bucks for a trade in at GameStop isn't bad at all.

probably zero. I am still guessing this thing has a unique code for exporting

Doesn't mean that the disc is useless after you've used the code.

Someone can still buy it and get the full (AC/DC) Rock Band experience (minus online) without owning the full RB game.

Gamestop will still buy it.

I bet I could sell it for $20 on eBay, even mentioning that the code is used.

no no no no no

The disc still has value as much value as the ps2 or wii versions, technically. One could still use the disc to play the songs if he/she bought a used copy, he/she just wouldn't have them in his/her rb1/2 game.

Try going to your local Blockbuster, they give so much more.

I find it better to not trade stuff in at all, personally. I have a massive Xerox box full of my old PS2 games and a canvas backpack full of n64 and Genesis games :D

Two local profiles (no Live) on my Xbox have permanent members in my band. Is there any way to include them in photos on my Live-enabled account?

I'm attempting to make a band consisting of nothing but Dave Grohl but I'm stuck at only 3 eras of Grohl (Nirvana, pre-beard Foo, beard Foo). It will be the greatest band ever.

If only you could get Tenacious D Satan Grohl in there it would be perfect.

The tattoo is pretty sweet. Are there more tatto options in RB2? I think it's a bit lacing in RB1. I would also love to tattoo the back...

Why should GameStop care? They'll take any opportunity to re-sell a game. Resells via Gamestop will ensure Wal-Mart isn't quite the "exclusive" retailer for this game.

Unless Wal-Mart finds a way to bully them out of buying the used game. I would imagine it would be pretty hard to do though.

Seems about the same (maybe a bit more) in total number of tats, but I don't like most of them. Kinda expected a lot more than RB1 and it doesn't seem that way. There are quite a few lame scribble and cartoon characters while not offereing a whole lot of new cool, realistic tat designs to tie together.

They don't have any legal ground to do so. Wal-Mart is the exclusive seller of Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol and I'm pretty sure you can find that used at Gamestop stores. There's no law that lists what you can and can't sell to a pawn shop (which is what Gamestop technically is), at least not regarding videogames (and certainly not regarding specific videogames).

rockband.com is down.....mmm....

maybe they are fixing the bug that lets us get pictures at 3000x2000 =(
They've already said that they don't see a problem with it. If anything, they might be fixing the rendering speed, and the thumbnail accuracy...or possibly putting a button to go directly to the high res images.
There's a hell of a lot going on with the new Rock Band site, not surprised that there are a number of growing pains.

Squenix and MS and Harmonix are going to announce an RPG exclusive to the 360 where you must destroy an evil empire with rock music.

Fixed to properly incorporate S-E's involvement. Also fixed to avoid confusion.

I felt that way last night too as my 'band' (with me on hard drums) beat a setlist with Everlong, Battery, and Painkiller - and I had never played Painkiller before. God, it was awful on my foot but I had such an excellent sense of achievement when I finished. Battery was much easier than I expected (because it looks REALLY hard) but that song was epic amounts of fun. Beating a solid song for the first time on drums is such an incredible feeling

The skies opened up and the planets aligned and I beat Panic Attack by myself on expert guitar.

im not that good on guitar....but I have just cleared every song on expert drums =)

Have you people ever did a tour online? I would love to do that, I know there are great guitarists here, im a good drummer, so we can try someday.

Alanis Morisette......You Oughta Know is probably one of the BEST charted drum songs in the game. Im not even joking. It really is awesome.

I 101% agree with you.

Its really really good, it gives you a cool sense of satisfaction when you are able to naturally follow the beat.

Also one of the best songs on vocals. :0

yea most definitly. that song also started to get me thinking about drum solo's. there are songs in RB2 were the drums are VERY distinctive and I feel like HMX half-assed the drum solo's because hell they give guitar a shitload of solo's even if the solo's are 30 seconds long. I feel like if your gonna be that open with guitar solo's then you should do the same for drums. take spoonman for example. the solo in that song ends early.....the drums are still CLEARLY distinctive after the solo ends.

Keep in mind I consider a solo for a instrument to be a part in the song were that is clearly the distinct part of the song. There is really no such thing as a solo because there is always someone playing behind that. I think with drums they take "Solo" alot more literally then they do with guitar.

There are quite a few songs in RB2 that have distinct drum patterns that over-power the guitar & bass that are not solo's. which sucks.

Awesome man! I've been too chicken to try the latter Metal songs on Expert. You've been kicking my butt on the leaderboards and I'm not thinking I'll be able to catch up. :)

I think it's surprisingly fun on guitar as well. I did not expect that. Same with Go Your Own Way.

I actually like playing it on bass more than guitar. One of a very few songs I feel that way about.
