Is it possible to delete individual dlc songs from rb2 on ps3 without deleting my entire data? I really only want to remove a handful of songs.

No. HMX didn't prioritize that. (Even though games like Time Crisis 4 can delete the system data from within the game)

Anything else you want to know about Time Crisis?
Not really, but I do have a question about what data to delete for RB 2. Is it the game data for 1 or 2 and am I going to have to do the song export again?

Alright, I'm through with Harmonix/EA pieces of shit hardware. My guitar keeps strumming down randomly once in a while, and the red pad on the drum doesn't respond AT ALL.

I knew I should've waited for the GH:WT bundle instead.

I have been trying to get an answer to this for a bit- I want to get RB2 but have never played before and as such own no instruments. Are there any decent 3rd party guitars worth buying? After hearing about some of quality issues with the RB strats (and the comment above about the one in the RB2 SE box) I want to know if there are any other legitimate options out there.

I only care about the guitars at this point.

I loathe the Nyko Frontman. Avoid it. Personally I like the Strats that I've used and the improvements sound like they've really tightened it up.

I had that same exact same problem with one of the old Red Octane GH Wireless Guitars. It's not just Harmonix.

So I couldn't contain myself. I justified that I needed to do some shopping anyway and was at the shop actually a minute or so after they opened this morning to get my fix in. Exporting right now.

Oh and it looks like the bonus track site is down at the moment or, at least, having trouble with mySQL.

Is it out for the PS3 yet?

Ought to be. I thought it was day-and-date. I didn't see it at the store, but well... I wasn't really looking and they'd just opened.

I also agree on how great it looks. It is borderline criminal to make something that looks that fabulous and then gimp us all with some monstrosity in the bundle boxes. It's just trying to push us to buy it because it looks so wonderful. Frankly from looking at it I think the sunburst may just be a bit of extra paint on top of the bundled black guitars. Which just makes it extra cruel.

I just got the PS3 RB2 today and...

E-Pro Guitar....WTF!?! This is as disappointing and bad as El Scorcho. 1 note repeated the entire song :\ Considering that Beck is an amazing guitarist, couldn't they have picked a better song? :(

The new IU changes are great. Love how there is an option to play full album dlc with a press of a button.

Also what is the general 1p "career mode" for RB2? The tour or the challenges? I'm talking about if you just want to play all the new RB2 songs in increasing difficulty with one instrument.

Looks like they're going to release the info soon. Or someone tried a SQL injection and mucked things up.

The instrument specific challenges in challenge mode is the closest thing to career mode.

Glad that you PS3'ers can finally rock out with the rest of us.

EDIT: Or is he the king?

I think you meant amazing dancer. I don't care what else the man ever does he is one hell of a dancer. It's like he's dosing with illegal Brazilian funk injections.

My biggest problem so far is "Today" it's just... it's probably the wonkiest chart I've ever seen. It switches parts at the drop of a hat with the worst being while you clearly hear the sustain you were playing still going and it has a solo section that isn't even remotely a guitar solo. It's just absolutely terrible. I get their idea with this cut-and-paste bullshit, but they really need to get more of a handle on it.

The best part is if you miss that blue note then the sustain just pops out of nowhere when you get to the next notes. :lol

So my roommate brought home an old-school, 480i or 1080i-only, 4:3 crt tv the other night.

Imagine my horror when Rock Band 2 is the only ps3 game I have which will NOT DO 1080i. :/ I'm also having a beast of a time getting the lag down but after reading you guys saying that the auto-calibrate is a bit off, I think I'm going to do the tests and go from there. *sigh*

There are many more notes than one in E-Pro.

I meant pattern. Like a song could be:

X
--Y
--Y
X
-----Z
--Y
*repeat for entire song

And sure it fully uses 3 buttons, but it's just 1 short pattern repeated for 3 mins+ and that's not fun to play at all. El Scorcho is pretty much that & E-pro is exactly that. They're just not fun to play on guitar.

True, but he's also a great guitarist :P I saw him a few times back when he just played local and he'd get up on stage with just an acoustic guitar and harmonica and would rock out. Would love to have some of his good guitar songs in RB.

Yeah it really makes the new sustain features in GH:WT seem like a no brainer.

Oh and even better - now my drums are just randomly dropping out. Sometimes the controller buttons keep working and sometimes they don't OH MY GOD AAAAAAGHHHHH

The review is right in that the new strats take awhile to break in. I was missing a lot of notes until I played maybe 2 hours with it. I don't like the strum bar as much; it doesn't seem to register right unless you really hit down on it hard. I also like how you just pull a piece of plastic out to switch batteries. The old one you had to get a screw driver, which is completely unecessary. I also have a gripe with the pedal feature. You can't use drum pedals on it when you stand up, because they're not long enough. Hopefully they'll come out with a 3rd party pedal that has a longer cord.

Someone in another forum was right about instruments; at the price point they sell them for they're just not viable. They should be much better quality and they should charge upwards of $100 for them to do it right.

Okay, so I just brought home my new copy of RB2 (PS3). I don't see the option to do the RB1 transfer. Is it something they need to add to the store?

You do it from RB1.

For the 15th time...

am i a fool? I bought a pre order for the game on ebay, seller said shell ship it on October 19th, am i missing something? can you even ship something on a sunday? :lol

Is there some sort of run on the stand-alone Xbox 360 Rock Band 2 drums? My roommate's been trying to get them for days and no store seems to have them all of the sudden. Theyi'v been out for a month, wtf is going on?

My question kind of got lost at the end of a page so i'll ask again. Does anyone know anything about the other 12 Grateful Dead songs promised? I need Friend of the Devil like as soon as possible.

Is there any way to gift MS points? My friend just got a 360 and RB2 and I wanna help get him some songs. I don't feel like going by Gamestop to buy a points card, either.

A number of us were complaining about the calibration tools when the game came out for 360. I loaded up RB1 to peek at my lag settings, and entered those manually into RB2 and all was good.
Yeah that's what I did. The calibration tools and the auto guitar calibration are all garbage. Just use what you used in RB1 if it felt good.

So instead of note you meant riff? Well then yeah, I can see the issue there, but still. "Bad to the Bone" is the same thing except for the solo (which basically fills out the riff a bit). Doesn't mean it isn't fun to play.

Songs are definitely a bit harder and it feels like perhaps gold stars are harder to get. Did they roll back the setting to where it was before they released the patch making them easier? Not that I'll see them on my damn screen like I ought to, but still.

The guitar calibration worked perfectly for me. My mind is at ease now that my display is calibrated properly.

I always had this nagging feeling that my RB1 calibration could be better. Now it's perfect.

We don't know anything for sure beyond next week and the handful of albums. I'd say they're just going to pop up randomly at some point, but what 'they' are is just as unknown.

So, the legend continues...

Got things pretty closely calibrated through pure trial and error, but the drums are still just dropping. When this happens the lights on the drums stay on and it still looks connected but the light on the wireless connector starts flashing, so I'm fairly certain the issue is with that box?

I just bought this game so that I'd finally be able to play drums again; I broke my drum pedal earlier this year and was out for two weeks while I waited for my pedal fix to get here, and when I got that my red drum fell off, so it's been a while since my drums have worked at all. And now this.

Despite the fact that I HATE the GH:WT kit (pedal feels like garbage and the set rocks back and forth, and the hi-hat cymbal is in the most wrong spot possible), I'm starting to regret not buying it instead.

Wow the box for the bundle is small. It's like half the size of RB1, right? So skinny.

I picked up the game and was ready to put down the $71.99 for the guitar but they didn't have any. Well, no PS3 ones, at least. They also had the bass (so awesome) and controller-mic, but both of those were 360 as well. Dammit.

I also almost got LBP but three different people said "I can't find it in the computer online so we don't have it." wtf kind of response is that? fuck the computer, go back to the store room!
