Can you get rid of Franklin's motorcycle? Every time I switch to him or finish a mission with him, it starts me off with that damn bike.
Remove the fairing and saddlebags and it looks like a half decent chopper.

Yeah I did that, and it's not a terrible bike, it's just that for missions and things cars are so much more practical. Every time I start off with Franklin I have to drive or cab to his safehouse just to pick up his car and it's annoying.Remove the fairing and saddlebags and it looks like a half decent chopper.

This game could really use a vehicle delivery service like Saints Row.
Those upgrades can be lost too though. Some say it happens when you use one character to drive another character's car, I'm not so sure.Yeah I've blown a crap ton upgrading vehicles only to lose them. I'm just going to concentrate on modding character cars until this is fixed.
That's what I do, and hope it will be there when I come back to it.so do you just leave your car outside your house?
Garage system should have been like saints row and sleeping dogs..... why did rockstar choose the inferior method???
A lot of GTA design decisions are like this--realism is often given a higher priority, even at the cost of gameplay. (Ignore the snap-to-target aiming while I make this argument.) Way back in Saints Row 2, Volition made garages that would hold all your custom cars, and I think there was in-game text that basically said "Don't worry about not having enough space! ALL your cars will fit, no problem!" Whereas with GTA, Rockstar have this stubborn requirement that cars take up real space in the world, thus you can only have one car in a parking spot, you lose your previous car if you swap, etc.
Unfortunately, Rockstar changed the system juuuuust enough with GTA V that it's no longer clear to me how it works at all. What determines whether a vehicle I drive gets impounded or just abandoned? How many cars can I fit in a garage? Why did one of my previous cars disappear when I drove a new one into it? (That might be the bug in action, of course.) What happens if I drive a car into the garage besides Franklin's aunt's house? What's with the "special" car Michael has in his garage, and can it ever disappear on you? Maybe all this stuff is in the manual, and I just need to read it, but the game itself doesn't seem all that interested in telling you. So I've mostly treated cars as disposable.
I'm not even sure how it's supposed to work lol.
You have the single car garage at your safe house, and the 4 car garages. Are you meant to return your car each time to one of these spots? Or is it supposed to respawn?
It seems like more of a "collector" feature than a useful method of cars you would actually drive.
I guess I'm one of the few that didn't bother with the garages, or with pimping out rides. Just seemed pointless. The garage shit is annoying too. Sleeping Dogs did it right. Like I've said before, seems Rockstar plays nothing but their own games.
Yes why bother spending money on upgrading cars when driving fast comprises like half the game...+1 I didn't bother with wasting my money on cars and it paid off.
How can a bug like this get past developers in a game called Grand Theft Auto, honestly
Well to be fair, we've never had the ability for your car to just reappear at your house or end up at the impound lot after switching cars in previous games and we didn't slam them then for calling a game Grand Theft Auto and not giving us a way to insure or collect our cars.
you guys have been letting them get away with murder!
This works for the character specific cars; in order to keep changes made to them, park them in a garage immediately after modding, then save. You might end up with two of the same vehicle spawning, just keep using the one with mods, leaving it in the safehouse garage, then saving.
I don't know why:
-the garage can't just be the one at each safe house rather than a seperate location
-the characters can't all share a communal garage, with the exception of the character specific vehicle
-it can't just be a simple list of vehicles instead of a physical space
Amanda's car was a convertible, this isn't. Looks like a cheap little Toyota or something. I assume Amanda took her car with her. But the point remains he had a nice 'Vette in the garage that disappeared. That red sedan sounds like Amanda's car. It's Michael's default car until he gets his back.
I think I'm like the fourth person in this entire thread that doesn't mod their cars. I have yet come across a mission I couldn't pass by just stealing the car literally closest to me. I couldn't care less about customization.
So wait, it's still safe to upgrade your characters' default cars, right?
I pimped out Franklin's car and haven't had any problems so far...
Looking forward to playing the fixed version down the road.Beta testing for the pc version ?

Anyone?
