Rockstar working on “next version of a famous IP”

I don't think many people outside of gamers know what Max Payne is, even with a film adaptation. Maybe if you asked someone the year that movie released but even then probably very few knew it was adapted from a video game.

OBJECTION! Supposition, m'lud!

Same could be said of MGS. Isn't that a famous IP?

Red Dead Redemption HD please.
PS3 version was embarrassingly awful performance wise.

If it's a new Red Dead, please don't put a 2 in it Rockstar.

No way. RDR was hardly empty. You couldn't go five feet without something or other happening.

Also, Westerns do not suck, dear sir. Best. Genre. Ever.

I don't think we played the same RDR. Things happening every 5 feet doesn't sound like the one I played. If you're talking random events then I remember the same 20 events being repeated over 100 times in total but that got annoying fast and I ignored them. GTA5's "random" events were handled much better and much less repetitively.

Probably just GTA5 DLC. Temper expectations.

Don't understand why people are saying Red Dead.

If the name of the studio means anything, it's Bully 2.

Rockstar North does GTA and Manhunt.
Rockstar San Diego does Red Dead and Midnight Club
Rockstar Toronto does The Warriors and now Max Payne
Rockstar New England's last full project was Bully: Scholarship Edition

I know the studios collaborate, but RDR2 is a R* San Diego joint. And I don't know if I'd call Red Dead "famous". I know it's massive and popular, but famous makes me think something more classic.

GTA is so fun and packed full of stuff to do, but it inherently appeals less to me because of its contemporary setting. When it comes down to it, it's just way cooler to walk around during the wild west or as a high school kid in some preppy town in the 90s. I hope with GTA VI they go back in time, but I don't see it happening again with that franchise.

I guess we didn't. 5 feet was an exaggeration, granted, but you didn't need to go far for something to happen. I could be wrong but I thought there were just under 40 random events?

One of my favourite games of this generation.

RDR 2? Please. Please Rockstar.

They mentioned Bully a while ago but dear God I hope it's Red Dead!!! Still my favorite game this gen!!!

Is it too early to jump on the hypetrain? On the other hand, every IP from Rockstar is worth being excited for. Now, we're even talking about a famous IP.

OP nails it.

RDR2 please. Red Dead Revengeance where you play as Raiden taken back in time with horse stealth.

RDR 2? Please. Please Rockstar.

it HAS to be RDR2. Please?

RDR2!!!

but we'll get trolled and it will probably be Table Tennis 2

Better be RDR2, none of that other rubbish.

I already a month ago told GAF that Bully 2 and RDR2 will be coming.

RDR 2 is going to feel like such a massive step backwards after GTA 5 so I hope it's not that. I'd rather have another Bully or Manhunt.

RDR 2for the love of mercy please be that

RDR2. and it better come to PC this time

It's RDR3 guys.
