RollerCoaster Tycoon announced for 3DS (Atari/n-Space, March 2012)

Nice! Now all I need is Anno 3DS with the same graphical style as the Wii game and I'll be building cities and themeparks for a whole year on the train.

MOTHERFUCKING GOD I SCREAMED LIKE A MOTHER FUCKING GIRL WHEN I READ THE TITLE!!!!

Im in fucking heaven right now, this is so awesome I an die.
Bye bye social life, RCT in a portable is going to fuck me in the ass. I would have buyed a vita for this game, thank god for my wallet is in 3DS.

In the latest Nintendo Power magazine, it has been revealed that a new RollerCoaster Tycoon is coming to the 3DS. Developed by n-Space, the game will be built from the ground up with brand new assets for the 3DS. Published by Atari, the game is due out in March 2012.

- View coasters in 3D
- Touchscreen controls
- Several coaster design options including suspended, hydraulic, wooden, steel and inverted
- Other rides such as monorails, prebuilt kiddie rides, carousels and county fair-style attractions
- Give parks themes such as haunted house and others
- Handle ride construction and park maintenance
- Hire and manage staff, this includes janitors, mechanics and more
- Multiple modes such as Coaster Creator and Sandbox
- Built-in tutorials
- Coaster Story mode teaches you how to do everything through a series of scenarios and tutorials
- In-game adviser will help identify in-part objectives and show players their progress

Wait, one theme for park like mother fucking theme park world and I cant build my own scenery?
FUCK THIS SHIT!
Will still buy it, but thats not the route to go for RCT4 Atari.

EDIT:
Ok, seeing the screens.
-Its RCT1 with RCT3 graphics. So how it plays im sure is more like RCT1, that will make some people happy.
-You can put different theming on the parks (some rides will look egiptian, others generic, you have shops with different themings, and I suppose you can build different types of trees and some piece of statue or something), but theres really no theming building (so now recreating or making realistic nothing), so its like RCT1, IMO I would have prefferred a port of RCT2 with the scenery capabilities. Right now you have a Theme Park (bullfrog) game with a bit more of personalization.
-As they are going to take all the cool aspects of RCT3 (becuase it was awesome, fuck the haters, you had fireworks, shows, own music, incredible theming tools, water parks and safaris), and the only thing they are going to leave is the coastercam in 3D, at least bring back the awesome carrousel theme from RCT1 and 2. And I hope at least the game has a fun campaign like RCT1, if they are going to strip all the aspect that made RCT2 and 3 so different to other theme park games.

Everyone says this but I gave 3 another chance a few months ago and with the expansions it completely rocks

3 is the best theme park building simulator ever, with the patches, the expansions and the custom scenery. You can build whatever you want or reacreate life real parks. So you are right. People bashing RCT3 are always based on opinions of the vanilla game, and its a pity.

I'm glad they're not gonna dumb down the look for a Nintendo audience like EA did with "My Sims."

If it's as you say it is and it's RTC1 meets RTC3, then I'll be thrilled.

This would be a GREAT portable game.

Indeed, it will be an awesome RCT portable version to play a lot, but I hope that means RCT4 in PC is just around the corner and is as big as RCT3 and the expansions, and also hope for the inclusion of easy to do custom scenery, that game could turn for me game of the forever.

I the portable one is as fun as playing RCT1, and has a great campaign as the first one did, it could be the best sim title the 3DS gets.
I only hope there still is RCT1 terraformation, as the screens showed are all plain, but the first screens of RCT3 showed by atari were also rather plain.

Now, seriously.... this COULD be huge.

Of course, Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 for PC is still my wet dream, but a portable RCT is just AWESOME, and if it's any good, it'll probably destroy my entire social life (RCT1/2/3 did not only because I couldn't stay home the entire day....)

Huge fan of RCT but seriously 3DS? A tiny pixelated screen, why not the PSV

apologies, I own a 3DS and I am very pleased this is coming to the portable scene. I just feel this will be a watered down port from the PC version but I'll be glad to be proved wrong. I just hope it's released on both systems

Isn't Rollercoaster Tycoon a really old game?

Doubt they'd have to water it down very much considering the 3DS can actually handle some modern console games.

The last line is so wrong.
Most "port-beggers" simply want those games in glorious HD, which they deserve. Have you been in the Dolphin-thread ?

I remember RCT3 having lots of problems on modern PCs, I think there was a problem with dual core processors or something but I guess since the 3DS has the same hardware for all devices it won't have the same problems.

Seems like it'll be a "2.5d" version anyway

There are always reasons for port beggin which doesnt make it less annoying...

I feel I need to type this in capitals:

FINALLY N-SPACE ARE GETTING THE RECOGNITION THEY DESERVE FOR THEIR FANTASTIC WORK IN THE PORTABLE SPACE.

Good for them and good for us. n-Space have had a brilliant showing on DS and if they can continue that level of effort and quality on 3DS we're all in for a treat.

Where was this post in the New Little King's Story thread where a bunch of people who were interested in the game still said they weren't buying Vita and hoped it showed up elsewhere?

That MYE and he just said he wasn't buying a Vita. And even if that happened, it doesn't make it right to port beg anyway and it doesn't make it less annoying. It seems the port begging rule isn't really enforced as hard as it used to be...
