Inconsistent special effects. Inconsistent acting. Gambit was goofy. Wolverine was goofy…Plot twist was totally unnecessary.

Liev Schreiber was fuck awesome..

Was thoroughly entertained. Intro was really put together well. The action was nice. The humor was good and sarcastic.

Aside from the very odd liberty they took with a certain character at the end, I thought the movie was good.

I just got back from a midnight show. I actually like this movie a lot more than all the other X-Men movies. I don't understand the Internet hate for things like this sometimes...

Pretty damn bad. Couldn't be bothered waiting for the secret ending.
Alivor said:
The special effects on the plane near the beginning was horrible...

Very meh.

Critics comments (RT):

A transparent attempt to squeeze a faltering franchise for its last drop of box-office juice.
Wolverine doesn't hold a candle to the X-Men trilogy and is a big step back for the franchise in general.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine has more than enough spark to reignite the franchise.
Lacks any real sense of gravitas and intensity.
Hugh Jackman is this film's biggest redeemer - a truly likeable lead actor with screen presence and menace.
The result is a superbly cast film with attention to detail, concern for character - and the odd touch of dry humour
May not be the final drop in the X-Men cash bucket but its clear that whatever creative well fans wished upon for their beloved series has been officially dried up.
The film is a fast-paced spectacle filled with action, drama, romance, wry humour and technical wizardry, catering for a sophisticated audience. At the risk of sounding trite, it's simply Marvel-lous.

A film GAF is far from being hyped-up for. There has been a lot of resentment for the portrayal of Deadpool, but it looks like Jackman is what will hold this film together.

Final RT score guess-age:
40% - B_Rik_Schitthaus
38% - Raxus
37% - tribal24
36% - JdFoX187
35% - Nose Master
34% - smokeymicpot
32% - TheHeretic
31% - critch / DieNgamers
28% - omg rite
27% - diunxx
25% - Snaku / Cheebs
24% - Splatt
23% - TheCardPlayer
Winner wins an internet.

Yes, I have pretty much copied Cheebs' format from the Star Trek thread. It's a good layout, why fuck with it?

This is the worst super hero movie I've seen since Batman & Robin. I will go see it just for the full special effects and music being the summer blockbuster whore I am but the plot/script is terrible.

That 100% will turn into 20% soon enough.
20% is probably better than it deserves. :lol

Stoked for this one. But I loved all the X-men movies.
Well if you loved X-Men 3 you'll probably enjoy it.

It is NOTHING like X-Men 1 and 2 though. It's really over the top.

ill pass on this, wait a week, an watch star trek.
That is my plan as well. Several people at school who found copies online, separately said that the special effects are actually pretty bad. Not that I would see this abomination if they were good. I'd probably rather watch Transformers 2.. (okay no. that's too far)

True story: I was on the streetcar here in Toronto last week. 3 guys were behind me. One guy said "you gonna see Wolverine?" His friend replied, "dude... just let me burn it for you." :lol

Well the special effects in the online version weren't complete. Other than that and the score it was the final cut released in theaters, same running time and all. Sadly.

I don't get why anyone not named Bryan Singer can't make a good movie in the X-Men franchise.

Wolverine SHOULD have been a easy movie to make but it ended up being very bloated, with far too many characters, over the top humor, and total wtf weird twist ending battle.

Jackman=sexiest man alive. This movie also has Ryan Reynolds (new deadpool haters be damned) and Tim Riggins.

So Wolverine=must see.

I only really liked X2 but Wolverine has always been my favorite comic character. I'm very indifferent on whether or not to go since I'm not really happy with some of the decisions they went with for the movie.

I'm still surprised it's 100% even if only based on 5 reviews so far.

If it's too X-TREME for you, it's good to know there's candy cane cocoa as an alternative on the far right there.

There is actually hope this could be a good movie guys.
Fox wouldn't let him do what he wanted though, they forced him to make major changes. Hell they even made him have the sets repainted because they wanted it to be more colorful lol.

Check out the old X-Men thread, a ton of gaffers have seen it and posted some uh "interesting" impressions.

I've already seen the movie, and it was terrible. The production value was laughable. It looked WORSE than a made for tv movie! I'm not joking, folks!!

Why? Wolverine will be better than that nerd fest
ST will surprise a lot of people, it's much more of an action flick this time around compared to previous ST movies.

dunno for some reason im riding the star trek hype train, other than the wolverine one, regardless of the nerds, im not gonna be waiting in line to see star trek either.

:lol You posted elsewhere you predicted Trek would get terrible reviews and like 40 reviews later that kind of backfired on you.

The movie isn't really that bad. It's nowhere near X2, and it pushes the popcorn aspect to the max, but it is a FUN movie. With that said, there are some truly cringe worthy, horrible parts. I'm excited to see how I feel about it after seeing in the cinema.

Needs to keep the Fox Flop trend going. Sadly it probably wont tank as bad as Dragonball, but I'd still like it to be harsh.
Can someone repost that awesome list of Fox Flops? :lol

Yeah I feel the same way.

Opening credits really rock imo.

wait, how have some of you seen it already? Pre-screenings?

It was leaked several weeks ago. Sans most of the special effects and score.

Seriously? :lol I thought everyone knew a full dvd quality workprint leaked a couple weeks ago. People in the library next to me yesterday were watching it!

Yes it is really that bad! I would have been VERY pissed if I paid money to see it. It was almost worth it for the wires and incomplete effects. Almost.
Adamantium bullets my asshole! Ohh!!! Let's take away Deadpool's MOUTH SO HE CAN'T TALK!!! Then let's kill him off!!!

The funny thing about that was
if you have admantium bullets, why wouldn't you give them to the one guy whose specialty is shooting?
:lol

What's the point of adding "100%" to the thread title when we all know it isn't representative (yet) and will change quickly anyway.

Hi Deadpool.

All jokes aside, perhaps we've all been flipping out over how Fox has ruined a character like Deadpool, while the movie itself really isn't even that bad? Still not expecting greatness or anything even remotely good. But it could still ruin Deadpool and be an entertaining movie, unlike X3, which was just shitty and boring.

I'll still be seeing it so I can judge for myself. I would never download it and watch it, as I don't think it's fair to judge an action flick without music or special effects.
