We don't get scraps. The chef reserves the best parts of the meal and saves them for us in the kitchen, then we just have our butlers stop by and pick it up for us.

Is this the pc master race begging for console scraps?

All games have a role to play in the Grand Compleation. All will be One.

Well, the best chance for a port (probably unlikely still) is if that DLC thing does happen:

(I): Is there any plans for DLC? It was said we might have it during development so I want
to know your current plans.
(P): Honestly we have had some troubles for some time so we didn't have a chance for that
discussion as well as other around us. So we probably will start discussion now. I
can't say we will or will not have it but I do want to get one out in some way.

It worked for The Witcher 2, why not Dark Souls?

Because they have different control schemes? You use two buttons per arm in Dark Souls for a start. You could do a workable m\k setup for dark souls but it would be pretty awkward compared to a controller.

Ohh, 40k. Good number. I doubt it'll make it to 100k though, unless it gets continued attention on websites.

How many signatures does it take for them to actually put this into action, you think?

40,600 signs is pretty wild

It just has to be an impressive number I'm guessing, I don't think someone at Namco has decided on a particular number which means people are interested.

It's more like how many signatures does it take before they consider the possibility. The petition won't force them to bring the game out and you shouldn't expect that. This is more a way to bring to their attention that people are interested and get them to start doing market research and stuff like that.

As far as that goes, this has been getting a fair bit of attention from gaming media and on forums like this one so I think that's the thing that convinces them to look at it more than anything. The petition is just kind of that attention made manifest. 40k in 2 days is really good though.

That Namco admin mentioned
when the number of people who actually sign it is low, this turn as a joke. But when it starts to involve thousand(s) people, then it's another story.

He must really be taking it seriously now that it's in the tens of thousands.

wat. thats not how dmc works.

When how about this:

WSAD = movement

mouse = aim

Left mouse: sword

Right Mouse: gun

Shift = lock on

Spacebar = Jump.

You even have a lot more hotkeys for changing weapons on the fly. Hell, you could have a hot key for every weapon for major combos.

It's not that different than most other third person games, really.

I believe that if Valve was to put a link to the petition on the Steam pop-up, the number of signatures will explode into the hundreds of thousands. That's what happened with Minecraft after it was mentioned there. Don't let us down based Valve.

I signed it, the possibility of Blighttown at 60 FPS and a Pro Mod to balance and tune Dark Souls PvP is too much to handle.

Sorry, but no.

Manual aiming makes no sense in DMC and there's no camera control so the mouse is not necessary at all.

I was responding to the left mouse: attack, right mouse: magic suggestion. Pretty ludicrous to suggest that as a control scheme for dmc. And you're missing a couple of attack buttons on that scheme anyway.

Like I said in a later post, you could do an m\k scheme for Dark Souls but it would be awkward. I don't understand why it's an argument, just use a controller if it comes out.

Seems like it.

Nah, just people thinking a third person action game plays like a third person shooter.

So they should completely redesign the game for this? And those aren't even the controls of The Witcher 2 so I don't know what you're talking about.

WASD = move
Spacebar = jump
Z = Attack

Done!

Yeah. That possibilty some people might play it without a controller and get a bad impression isn't a very good argument. There'd also be people trying to play it on a shitty laptops with integrated grahics cards who get a bad impression. Who cares.

Pretty much. I think this is already a very impressive number. It's big enough to pretty much force Namco to make an offical repsonse anyway.

Warms my frozen cynical internet heart.

Can't wait to see what they say.

Why are you focussing so hard on my right click = spell comment? I'm not saying that it should be that way, I am saying that it isn't unplayable.

In regards to a control scheme for DkS on PC:

M1 = normal attack
M2 = shield/left hand
MM = heavy attack

Q/E = item/spell
Space = roll/backstep

TW2 wasn't much different. And the game doesn't need to be redesigned to have M2 set for spell cast...

ITT : people are oblivious to the fact that third person action games existed on pc prior to a potential Dark Souls PC version.
.

I'd play the fuck out of Dark Souls on PC, and I'm already playing the fuck out of it on the PS3.

Time to hook up a 360 controller!

These made up control schemes that doesn't even resemble the actual game controls or possible actions are pretty awesome.
