RTTP: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Too easy, and the exploration is too limited by the giant ocean world.

The story is pretty good.

Fucking love the graphics.

The worst 3D Zelda so far.

The rupee fetch quest at the end was fucking unprofessional.

All Zelda titles are easy. They are not supposed to be challenging games. Its about the adventure and exploration.

I loved it but OoT still takes the crown for me. Its version of Hyrule is still the most magical to me. From the Kokiri village, the Lost Woods, Lon Lon ranch, hyrule castle, Hyrule field, Lake Hylia, Zoras domain, to Kakiriko Village... All of these places and the characters within them felt fully realized, magical, and memorable.

The story was perfection, and nothing beats the hero of time old/young dynamic and the change in tonality.

After playing the 3DS version it still holds up near perfectly.

Sadly although I have sank a ton of hours into all versions of MM, I have yet to beat it, and for the last year I have just been holding out for a 3DS remake.

I loved WW but it was missing the memorable places and characters, as well as that magical feeling. But it's still a damned fine game, even though I like what I have played of MM a tad more, at least at the moment.

I honestly never really got into Wind Waker. The sailing aspect really shit me. Maybe I was playing it at a time when I wasnt interested in gaming much anymore and maybe it was too drastically different from Ocarina of Time. I should probably play it again sometime soon to see what I think now.

Wind Waker always felt like one of the more mature approaches to a Zelda game to me, and for that I absolutely love it. The combat was insultingly easy at times, but all the parries you could perform at least looked awesome. That was probably the most agile/mobile Link we've gotten to play as, I wish they would expand on it more in later games.

Wind Waker is a truly great introduction to Zelda. It might not be the best Zelda game, but it's still my favorite.

This is how it is for me as well. OoT, MM, and TP are probably better games, but Wind Waker is my favorite.

Exact opposite for me. Outside of Midna and Marin, Wind Waker has the most memorable characters in the series (to me).

Picked this back up just before skyward sword came. Never did finish it, got stuck half way through the triforce hunt. Pretty memorable ending.

Best part of the game is link's facial expressions haha. Cool items too, the duku leaf and one of best boomerangs in the series.

Pirates are awesome!

Should give it another playthrough
