I'd say fake. The AC logo has never put "Creed" under the word "Assassin's" like that. Not to mention the thing looks like a comic/anime cover, not a rendered CG image like everything else.

Before entering the topic, I was going to say something about AC being one of my favorite new IPs this gen, but I think it's time for a break. Then I saw the assassin is Haytham's father, and now I'm interested again. Hopefully whatever future/present story is there doesn't suck so horribly.

I dont see what a pirate setting would bring to Assassins Creed unless they focus heavily on ship combat and movement between islands, but is that really a big selling point?

well truth be told I loved ACIII, it is just awesome, but the series need to take a break, I thought Ubi would be smart and give it a rest and release a reboot or something for Prince of Persia, giving AC series a rest during the console migration, but no, another AC is coming, and it is not appealing to me at all.


Naval Battles are awesome, as a small part of a game, not as a whole game, I thought they may take the next AC into Japan, or Egypt, or something more interesting, I guess I will skip this one then.

Also, they can't go full-on naval battles with AC. How is that even AC anymore. I found those ship battles slow and boring. If people enjoyed those they should play Empire Total War. You'll love it, it's basically the same thing.

If they are going to go the pirate route, they need to go with plenty of cool and creepy locations, hunting for buried treasure, x marks the spot, voodoo priestesses, hidden caves and cities. All that stuff. I'd definitely be down for that.

AC3 left me with a bad taste afterwards. This is the first AC game I am going to pass on…till I see it running on PS4.
