yes it does, man.HR and deadline ran with it because LR first put it out.
They "ran with it" because they independently verified the story had basis in truth. If it didn't, they wouldn't have run with it. Because they didn't have to. Latino-Review isn't a direct competitor to them. Latino-Review having a scoop doesn't mean THR & Deadline now have to play catch up. It DOES mean that if they look into that scoop and get their own verification, they now have their OWN story.
Again - all I'm trying to point out is that your reasoning is a little busted: Saying the reddit guy has inherently more plausibility and trust than the reports from three different outlets, all three of them featuring writers unafraid to stick their names on those reports is a little much - ESPECIALLY when you're basically only saying it because, as you've admitted, you just WANT the reddit guy to be right.
And that's fine. I'd like the reddit guy to be right, too. I like Dylan O'Brien as Spidey, I think it'd be great casting. But wanting something doesn't make it more plausible. And if Kellvin knew about the meeting with Goddard today, and two other industry magazines ended up backing that report with their own independent verification, then that HAS to trump "I just want it real bad" when it comes to plausibility.
