Juat finished FF7 OG for the first time ... loved every second.. going for FF9 next pretty soon since 8 I already played.

I will happily say that FF9 is by far my favourite of the 3 games on PS1. It's a masterpiece we will never get again.

Sadly this game being canned/fake/paused etc was already revealed months ago so was hoping for some good news.

The GOAT Final Fantasy. A remake of it needs to be absolutely top tier quality so if they can't do it right then they shouldn't do it at all.

I'd expect at least light remasters of 8-13. Square milked the cow of 1-7, now it's time for the later games.

6 wasn't as milked as it should have been compared to 4.

They've probably produced enough assets to make a FF9 crossover world in Kingdom Hearts 4 and decided that's gonna make them more money anyway.
