I think it's just right. FF isn't Fallout; not that it ever was, but the brand has week ended and I do t think they have an reliable metrics it recent examples they can to that guarantee this would sell gangbusters in November.

I mean, even the demo was tied to a (garbage tier) remaster that did, what? 3-400k? Globally?

It'll sell well, but they give it the best chance they can by putting it out in a week that's traditionally void.

Nope, it happens all the time. AC Syndcate was a friday, DOOM is a friday, PS exclusives are released in fridays sometimes as well. Its a common day for huge triple A actually

The producer for Nier Automata joked that Automata will launch around the same time FFXV does like the first Nier did with FFXIII IIRC
